Subject: throbbing finger
Message: Smashed my finger with a weight.
Could not sleep at all last nite due to the throbbing pain.
Took a brand new drill bit and a Craftsman 9 volt drill.
Went right through my nail like hot butter.
Blood came pouring out.
Has not stopped for hours.
Feels 100 percent better though.
What a smart little doobie I am.

Message: OUCH, Jack! That's pretty much what the emergency room would do for you, though. My ex once smashed a thumb. The ED heated a paper clip with a bunsen burner and just burned through. The blood comes out like a geyser, but you're right, it relieves the pressure. I hope you washed well afterwards and applied some antibiotic ointment. Also I hope you're up to date on your tetatus shot. You might lose that nail eventually, though.

Message: Well Jack, you and my hubby could be friends. That is exactly what he does. But please use some hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clear of bacterial. Usually, if you you can do that, then your good dead WILL go unpunished. Keep us posted on the progress of that nail. (that is a smart little doobie. I don't have the ability to use power tools on myself, though my hubby is more than willing to use them on me!)
