Subject: Help from Experienced French Manicurists
Message: Hello!
I am so excited because in todays mail I got the French Manicure kit from Honeybee's. Here's my question....
Because my tips are all different lengths (the whites), how is the best way to apply the French without having partial natural whites parts showing behind the painted white? I hope I'm making myself clear, but I find lately I'm foggier and foggier. LOL
Oh, and it's 90° here today. I'm NOT loving it!

Message: 90's~ MAN! It was 28 here this morning BRRRRRRR! Yuck!
Just file your nails so that they are all about the same length. Then apply the white tips. Don't worry, they will all grow back out! ~~lol~~

Message: I'm having a problem getting the polish on. I'm used to the brushes being straight, but all the brushes are curved. Are they supposed to be that way?
One other problem I have with sheers in general is not being able to get a nice uniform coverage. I get streaks. No one else has mentioned this so I know it's me, but does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to adjust/fix it?

Message: Hi Moi. Maybe I can help. My nails are ususally different lengths, so when I do the french manicure, I line up the tip strip with the natural line on my nail. In other words, you want to use the white on the part of your nail that is naturally white. As far as streaking goes, you're using too much polish. Try to paint your nails using thin coats. If you find you're still having trouble, you can thin the polish down. Take ONE drop of water (no more!) and add it to the bottle of polish. Shake well. This will thin it out nicely. Please let me know if this helps you, and if you have any more questions.

Message: Yup, I was going to say too much polish. Don't get hung up on the white going on uneven with your first coat. Rely on your second coat to catch what was missed. Same pretty much goes for the sheers. The sheers will also even out some of the white imperfections as well.
