Subject: QVC has banned me again and I need help to post!
Message: Would some one go on Q and post the following:
It is on "Taking Off Acrylic Nails - Best Way ???" thread-
You have to soak them in acetone remover. Put some in a glass bowl, then set that bowl over into a plastic bowl to "warm" it up. It may take as long as 20+ minutes per nail. Gently scrape the melted acrylic off, but know that it starts hardening up as soon as you remove it from the acetone. Work quickly and do one at a time. Some gentle buffing of the surface of the acrylic and cutting them down as short as possible will help too. When your done use cuticle oil and moisturize with lotion that contains shea butter. Your cuticles and what's left of the nail bed are going to be dehydrated.

Message: Melissa,
They blocked me so that I can no longer post on the Beauty Board. I guess the fact that I said something in opposition to the thread about the way they were bashing the ladies with the Micro abrasion products was enough! I only said that the fact that they are associated with the product, did not equate to potential credit card fraud on their part! But you can't give the few that rule any opposition or POOF you're gone. Loving this freedom of speech, and equality for all! Welcome to our new democracy!
Moi,
You know all too well what I am talking about!

Message: Yep, I do.
Melissa, right after I started using NGF, I posted about it at the Q beauty board in response to people who were unhappy with TIPS or ProStrong or Sally Hansens, etc. I was UniquelyMoi there. Anyway, a lot of people started trying NGF and loving it and posting about it too. Then, the cockroaches (aka trolls) came out of the woodwork and started complaining about us posting about NGF there even though there are a lot of non-Q products posted about. So, I got banned (my user name blocked from posting) and so did Barb. Over the course of a month I had created about 4-5 new user names to post with and all ended up being banned. So far, the name I post with now there (thelonghaul) has been left alone. But in Barbs case, they not only ban her current user name, they block her IP too.
It's actually ridiculous, Melissa. I talked to the Office of the President and was told that Q's guidelines clearly state that they can remove any post and any poster for any reason or for no reason at all. It's 100% at their discretion.
So anyway... there are a lot of ladies here who found NGF during the whole Q fiasco, and still more who find us BECAUSE of the Q fiasco.
Barb, didn't you try to get information about having your product sold on Q but they refused to deal with you?

Message: Actually Moi,
I read the terms of their DEMANDS, and decided I would NOT submit my products to them. They have too much control as far as I am concerned. And they want exclusivity. I have a girl in Australia, one in Hawaii, and one in Spain that are distributors of the product, so exclusivity is not an option! No matter how many people they may reach in the market place. I will not abandon those who have been with me for so long, for a potential flash in the Q pan! Obviously, as far as I can see, they are WWWWAY TOO DEMANDING~ Way too time consuming~ Way too picky with their demands on vendors. I am not employed by anyone any more, and working my fingers to the bone for Q's benefit is not my idea of the BEST way to spend my "golden years!" The fact that Melissa doesn't even get a response back from them about her product, [that she jumped through the hoops for them] is proof of the pudding as far as I am concerned!

Message: Barbara - I can't believe they got you again! Are you banned from the entire site or just that board? I tell you, from reading around the place, it seems like they are banning left and right. It's hard to know if someone "recognized" you or if they took alot of posters from that Microderm thread out. The latter would mean they actually read the thread, another thing that would surprise me. You might have been viewed as possible one of them from your post.
You know, I came down hard on them, but I also stated there was no need for credit card hysteria or worrying that it still isn't a viable product. What bothered me about them was their sales tactics and that they posed as satisfied customers to present their hardsell. It wasn't a matter of them wanting to promote their good product. They sell TWO good products, but were intent on promoting the one that costs $45 more than the other. And when people wanted to compromise by buying just the first step of one line, the insisted that you needed the miracle second half, which is total BS. This to me is more "offensive" (in the terms of service sense of the word) than a vendor who comes in under another name just to clarify issues about the product or straighten out any misconceptions.
Another thing that wouldn't surprise me - people who "have it in for you" there, no matter how innocently you post, probably read this board and know when you are back.

Message: Lynnie,
It is probably true that they get me by reading this board. I just went back to see what all is posted to the thread and I can't even find it! Maybe I just over looked it, I don't know. But if they saw what I posted, requesting someone to post for me, they may have pulled it because I think it was Kasi that actually did. And now it looks like another big poof! Ya got me by the left one! I wish I just didn't give a crap, but there IS so much mis!information over there!
I really do understand about them getting upset that the vendors just jumped on there like a bulldog with lockjaw. And I did see you make an attempt at saving them from the trolls. That was kind.

Message: Another thing Lynnie, is, I am actually pretty transparent even when I am in disguise! I hate the farce and lies. Pretending to not be who or what you are. So all of the screen names I ever used I gave my actual data when signing up to get on the boards. I was not trying to deceive any one, they just will not allow me to be me. And I was posting to all sorts of topics of conversation. Not just on the Beauty Board, but Home Furnishing and Anything Goes within reason too!
I still say there are some remarkable women there, and I only wish they understood how they are being so manipulated by a couple of them.

Message: Barb - Your situation would be so much easier to stomach if they allowed the mere talk of your product there. That's what slays me. And if I talk about YOUR product or anyone else's, it has nothing to do with any personal association I might have with them elsewhere. I don't endorse anything I don't like or that isn't working for me.
The board dynamics there are something else, but not untypical of such a large board of predominantly women! When a board gets that large, administrators rely on the advise feature. But many who use it aren't necessarily doing so judiciously.

Message: They removed the ADVISE button! It has been gone for months.
That is why it is looking to me like there ARE vendors or employees of these vendors that are in cahoots with those inside. Since Pro Strong and TIPS seems to be their main stay nail products, the "vendor snitches" keep them appraised of who is saying what about the products discussed. Things like Sally Hansons and NailTek or whatever are able to be discussed because they are basically the same things as the TIPS and Pro Strong. By that I mean a polish that is just sitting on the surface of the nails. Not serving any real benefits to the nails. Just drying them out...I mean look at Melissas product. They are just bypassing it altogether, and it is obviously a phenomenal product! Where is the power talk on the her stuff. I will tell you again, I think it is because she doesn't have someone there working on asking repeated pointed questions about a more natural way to polish, something more beneficial and healthy! What do you think?
