Subject: More hugs for Melissa (Queen Bee) on your loss
Message: Melissa,
The other thread ran out of room, but I join all these lovely ladies in my heartfelt sorrow for the loss of your furbaby. I had dachshunds when I was growing up and to this day, I always get an extra big smile on my face when I see a dachshund walk by.
You are in my thoughts.

Message: Melissa,
Please count me in with all the rest who are sending sympathies your way. I lost my two briards, Harley and Lovey, to lymphoma 3 years ago. They were my dearest friends and I miss them still, so know some of the pain you are feeling. Hope the pain you are feeling now will soon turn to happy memories. You, and your sweet dog, are in my thoughts and prayers,
Beth Schroeder

Message: Thank you all so very much. I thought I would be more prepared than this - she had been sick for awhile and we've spent the last few months giving her IV fluids three times a day along with meds, acupuncture, etc., etc. I guess you really are never fully prepared to lose someone who means the world to you. Please hug your babies a little extra tightly tonight. And thank you again for your words.

Message: Melissa,
This is just one more reason that I count myself so totally blessed. I believe we have the greatest bunch of yahoos on the www. We have a really great time here, share information, and sholders to help when the weight is just to great for only one! So if you want to talk, you have all of us here and you know my number. 1.912.538.7028 Just in case you misplaced it!
We have been through several ringers together in a very short time. It's like they say, life happens. and when you need someone to share and listen feel free here!
Much love and total support for you and your hubby during your hours of mourning.

Message: Oh, I am so sorry, Melissa. The loss of a beloved pet is a different sort of grief. It's like losing a part of yourself. Each one is so unique and so much a part of your daily routine. Probably seems like it was just yesterday yours was a pup. We love them for a short time, but intensely. When you and hubby are feeling better I hope you treat yourselves to weekend away. ((hugs))

Message: Melissa,
I read the post about your furbaby earlier today but everytime I sat down to post, I got all choked up. We lost our Boxer, an angel, about 3 years ago and I still break down sobbing.
There's really nothing that will take away the hurt you're feeling except time. And nothing will make talking about your baby easier except time. But, and I honestly believe this, there will come a time when we will be reunited with our beloved pets and then time won't matter because we will have all the time we need to love them.
For me, heaven won't be heaven without my precious boxer Talley.
If it's any help or consolation at all, you know there are many of us who know what you're feeling and we are always here for you.

Message: Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and words. I'm not just saying this - everything you all have written really means a lot to me. So many people don't understand the depths of love you can have for an animal. But I'm hearing that the wonderful people on this forum DO understand. I am grateful for all of you.
