Subject: Microdermx..

Message:
I really am loving this microdermabrasion kit I ordered from microdermx. Someone just outed one of the girls plugging it over at the Q, As being the websites admininstrator. Oh well...I guess now I wont be able to talk about NGF or Microdermx...deep sigh. I may have to resort to talking garbage over there like everyone else!

Denise, I just noticed this about the microdermx....but I had wondered about this poster for a while. Seemed a bit too obvious. Glad the microdermx works for you, I tried a sample but it doesn't "play well" with Green Cream...sigh..oh well.

Well it is becoming totally obvious to me why my skin looks like old, well worn, shoe leather.
When I was young and had plenty of time, I worried over my complexion, skin, hair, all of the usual. Once I got out in the world I found no ME time. I am just so unable to devote time to myself for these things. Wish I could. But I too am so sensitive to so much, I am actually scared to try most of the products out there. So OoO it is for me!
I want to try their facial 2 in 1, but I am even afraid of that.
May be I will pick it up at Wally World and if it doesn't work well with my skin, I will put it in the Beauty Box. At least I will know!

Denise - I wasn't on the beauty board yesterday because I sort of OD'd on Dr. D! Just reading there now, I caught this. You know, it only bothers me in one respect. She does seem a touch overzealous about this product, knows it inside and out, BUT much of what I have heard and read about microdermabrasion cautions you to stay away from the eye area (except the extending crowsfeet). That goes doubly if you are a home user and aren't trained to know the proper amount of pressure to apply. My fears are that there are going to be alot of women who become freckled and hyperpigmented under their eyes this Summer the minute the sun is shining. Plus alot of these women are also using retinol products. Also, the undereye area is composed of jillions of tiny blood vessels which contribute to the darkness of that area because the skin over it is so thin. Who knows how many new blood vessels you are breaking if you overwork that area. Every single time I try to slip in a word of caution there, she shoots me down!

If she is the owner, what bothers me is I feel she is irresponsibly pushing this product in a potentially harmful way. Sure, you might get some initial results by working the eyes, which might sell the product. It is a very powerful product. I can't even imagine using this stuff on lids as well!

I am so dense! (no news there!) But WHO/WHOM are we talking about here? I don't read all of the threads on Q, so I miss a lot of the "action". What thread and who? *please.*

Hey girls. Barbara, we are referring to post by a MissahlieD..I think thats her handle. At this point I am sure she is somewho involved with the product, but I really do like the product..but some will feel deceived.
Lynnie..I only use the product on the crowsfeet area...I keep it away from the bottom and also the top lid..those spots belong to greencream! I hope women are smart enough to listen to their skin....`I really feel it is a very intense product.
Barbara I think OO would be a great place for you to start! I have never tried their peel product..but I have read from many it is great....go for it!

Barb - you'll find the lowdown on the Microdermx - AMAZING STUFF thread. That thread was started probably by one of the co-owners. This issue is NOTHING like people here who promote NGF.

Denise - I plan on continuing with it as well, but my objections are over HOW they promoted it. I should have known. Ashie was just WAY too informed and ready with detailed replies not to be involved.

Well, color me chicken! I just got back from Eckerds and so chickened out on even the OoO! So I bought some of those little Dove Essential Nutrients Cleansing Pillows. And I must say I was amazed at how much *stuff* came off of my face. I guess I got all my Wu kissies washed away! Anywho! The pads have a baby soft side and then a slightly rougher side to them. The *slightly rougher* side is really soft too. But I am thrilled that I at least tried something that was totally non irritating and actually felt comforting through out the process. No abrasion, totally NOT irritating. When I finished with that I patted my face dry and applied a light coat of OoO Regenerist Night for some really deep moisture. It really does feel great and for not a lot of $$$. So at the moment my being a chicken was a good thing! Maybe next time! We'll see!

I love the Regenerist Night cream, Barb. I love the feel, the smell, the color, the jar and yes, even the way it makes my skin feel. :)
I have been very happy with OOO products in general. I never got the OOO peel because it was just too expensive. Now I find out it's a chemical peel like AH souffle and peel are, which I have. The AH seems to have stopped being as effective so I broke down and got the Physicians Formula Microderm kit that was on sale at Walgreens for 17.00 and then you get a $10 rebate. I reallllly liked that PF kit. So, I am thinking I will be able to switch back and forth between the 2 and hopefully have some good results that way. I will toss in a couple of AH peel masks into the beauty box for anyone who wants to try them.
