Subject: A weird thing about wearing polish....
Message: I have to ask you ladies this. Have you ever noticed that after a few days of wearing nail polish and removing it, it seems like your nails grow in leaps and bounds? Logic tells me it's my imagination or an illusion, but I do wonder if wearing no coating erodes your tip length a little. With acrylics, my edges would be sort of rounded after a couple weeks of wear and erosion from friction. Can that happen to a natural nail too?

Message: That makes a certain kind of sense to me Lynnie. Wear and tear at a very solw pace from every day use.

Message: Makes sense to me, Lynnie.
In my case I hardly wear polish ... yet ;)
Since I still have those ridges growing out, I was wearing clear polish and it was keeping them from chipping. Then when the little chip part had grown out, I could file it down below that point, take off the polish and no now chipping. Did that make sense?
