 Subject: One Stupid Nail :(Message: Stupid, stupid nail! All the others look good. They used to grow weird and all misshapen but now they are good. Except for the ONE stupid nail. It get's a STUPID crack in the tip and then it tears. It makes me soooo mad ::grumbling::: Stupid nail :( |

If you find that the file rips a nail, it may be that you need to use a rough sided buffer for a while that is less porous. If the nail is splitting then it needs a gentler touch. With the stone file you really do have to apply a lot of pressure to seal the tips. So try an alternative for a while. I promise I will not be offended. And if you get great results with something else for a while, until the fracture grows out, let us all know what you use. We are all here looking for solutions. I am thinking of getting those glass files and testing them, but boy are they pricy even wholesale. I too am always trying to find the best thing to carry, so I can improve my product line and send it down the line..... My Growth Formula and Buffing cream are my own, but I am not a manufacturer of files or buffers. So if we can find something that works better, when I sell out of what I have, we will see about an even change out of items. |
| cheryl IP: 206.159.161.156 1/31/2006 21:04:24 | RE: One Stupid Nail :( Message: i have one of those glass files. i'll drag it out and let you know what it does for me now. ruth, i agree, use one of those 4 sided buffers and start with the least abrasive, very gently. we are headed sort of your way tomorrow barbara. driving home to visit my mom and her husband in Mississippi. taking the dog-don't know how many more of these she has! i'll try and keep in touch via the laptop, but my mom's computer hasn't been turned on in almost a year AND it's dial-up!! i'll try and find a "wireless hot spot" hopefully. ya'll play nice together in case i'm out of touch! don't start slingin' NGF at each other! |

It was the most messed up of all the nails, and the ridge down the center is so bad it almost looks like it's folding in on itself. It's better than it was, but I WANT IT PERFECT NOW!!!!! |

It made me think of how often people tell me, and books are written about, using positive thinking and positive affirmations to try to heal. Well, I go through times of being down in the dumps about health issues, and other times I am passionate about positive thoughts, reading and speaking healing scriptures, etc. Those nasty Lyme bacteria are probably cruising around my body saying to each other "that crazy woman is talking to herself again about how healthy she is becoming!" So your assignment for tonight is to talk to your nail, tell it how much you appreciate what a good job it's doing, envision it becoming completely full and whole. If it works, we can write a self-help book and go on Oprah!!! Hang in there - I'm the queen of wanting instant gratification so I know how frustrating it can be. Jill |
