Subject: Mary Kay Microderm

Message:
Some months ago I had gone to their web site and ordered the free sample of their Microderm Abrasion product. It's been sitting here ever since I got it, just looking at me, wondering WHEN I was going to try it. Well, I finally tried it this morning.

It's not at all what I expected. I was anticipating some kind of chemical peel. This was not a chemical treatment at all rather very fine particles that gently exfoliated away layers of dead skin. It wasn't uncomfortable, but definitely not what I am used to. I followed up with the Replenishing Cream which is part of the kit, and allowed it all to dry thoroughly while I curled my hair.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that today, the first day in a looong time, I was able to get by with just a light buffing of BE Clear Radiance! My skin is very, very smoothe and the BE is not looking heavy on my face! There is one more application in the sample set I got, and I will probably wait a week to use that.

I have never used a product like this before so I cannot compare it to anything else. For awhile I wanted to get the OOO set, but just couldn't bring myself to plunk down the cash. I have been using the Alpha Hydrox souffle and Peels, but my skin seems to have plateaued with that so for the time being they are up on a shelf. If anyone is interesting in trying the AH Souffle and Peel, let me know and I'll toss it in the box when I get it.

I would suggest that you go to the Mary Kay website and see if the samples are still available.

Have a lovely day, ladies!!!

Cheryl, what kind of product, if any, do you use? Are you interested in trying the AH? I'm going to dig it out and throw it anyway. I am also going to add the wax on/wax off parafin treatment, some Burts Bees things my daughter gave me and some samples. I have some lipsticks and some Avon eyeliners that I used maybe one time.

with my oily skin, i've got layers and layers to get rid of most days! i use purity cleanser, then the proactiv scrub and toner. i don't use moisturizer of any kind. just don't need it. i'm beginning to believe i never will! i would like to try the AH peel & souffle. not much phases this skin. believe me, i've tried to dry it out. i've discovered a line from a dermatologist in CA. her name is Linda Sey-you've probably heard of her. she has an oil control line that i'm really liking, especially the oil control gel. she has all her products in sample sizes for $3.50, i believe, so you can try them out. it's where i got the green cream from. i love trying new stuff out, i just don't like paying full size prices-especially when it doesn't work! i went to the MAC site that Kylie56 recommended and looked at their brushes. gorgeous brushes, all of them. i just have a hard time paying 42 bucks, with most of that in tax and shipping it feels like, for one brush! they were tempting though. i love soft, well made brushes. they make all the difference in the world.

Moi, that is an excellent treatment to use first time out. I used it last year and passed it on to my daughter when I discovered Microdermx. The Mark Kay calming lotion is so nice afterwards. My daughter is loving it. Had we had the box going back then, I'd have thrown that in there for you! I hear the Olay one is nice too. You might want to watch Ebay for the Mary Kay if you really like it.

cheryl - I picked up a wonderful Lancome foundation brush on Ebay for $15.99. I love it. I use it for liquid foundation, but I'm sure it would be great for minerals. Very soft.
