Subject: HoneyBee/Naturella polish review
Message: At long last, I received my kit of Naturella polishes from Q. I ordered the pink set. The colors are all very pretty. I chose to pilot the Tuscany, which is a frosted fuscia/grape color. It spreads easily and dries amazingly fast, way faster than oil-based enamel. Plus, the second coat doesn't have that softening effect on the first coat, wherein you easily get dents or nicks after polishing with enamel. I'd read it is best to let this polish "cure" for 4 hours and I have to conclude that might mean not exposing it to prolonged water use. It sure doesn't mean that it stays tacky. It is a hard finish as soon as it dries.
The only downside is that, although these colors look very sparkly in the bottle, they do have more of a matte finish vs. a glossy one. That probably cannot be helped as this is water based. It looks like any frosted oil polish would look after a couple days wear, just a little dulled. That being said, that doesn't phase ME and I'm thrilled at how they look.
I'll be reporting back on how it wears, ease of removal and the condition of my nails afterwards.

Message: Ok..Lynnie..I will be awaiting your update. On another note..after my vow to slow down on all my facial procedures..I did the Microdermx this evening...I have ZERO will power. I did not do it all the way..if you know what I mean. I love doing it gently around my eyes....My skin looks really good..and since I an sick and fell like DOO DOO...it gives me pleasure..in some product junkie way.

Message: Denise - the polish just passed the NGF test. Rubbing my cuticles didn't disturb it.
I can see how easy it would be to get carried away with the microdermx. It feels so good. I'm doing that once per week and the Phil Vit C microdelivery peel 3 days later. There are things, possibly longterm effects, you have to stop and consider if you overdo it. For me, I'm proned to broken capillaries. You don't want those cropping up on your nose. Lemme tell you, it hurts having those zapped! Also, hyperpigmentation from the sun happens so easily, probably moreso on all that new virgin skin. You don't want to spend your Winter slathering on fade creams. I'm glad you are going gently under the eyes, as I tried explaining on Q to a poster who didn't really care to hear that. That skin is delicate and I paid tons of $$ for professional advice from a dermatologist re some of these things. I don't mean to lecture, but "all things in moderation" is a goal for me somedays too!

Message: OK my little product junkies......The polish sounds really promising. I suppose they will be receiving a phone call from me regarding my inquiry. Still no response, poop!
I am relieved to hear that the NGF didn't eat the polish! Thats a good thing....

Hope it is favorable but be hyper critical and tell all the skinny. We need really honest evaluations on how you and Lynnie found the consistancy, ease of use, removal, (premature or otherwise,)and then long term wear and effects on the nails.
I can hardly wait til my hubby is well enough for me to get in here on the phone with those folks!

Message: Bout time you got it, Lori!
Barb - Day 2 here. The finish looks a little duller today and edges are wearing a bit. And after I washed dishes, the fuscia polish took on a bluish, silver cast! Must be because it's water based. Then it went away. Weird! I might try removing it tomorrow night, doing a couple days of straight NGF, then try another color. I'm curious about the clear coat. I'm also wondering if this is going to stain my nails. They caution you not to leave it on longer than a week because it continues to "cure" and is harder to remove. It also penetrates toenails moreso because they are dryer and it is harder to remove from toenails. Our NGF oilier surface should protect us in that respect. I have to go back to Honeybee and see if I read right and you can use alcohol to remove it. That little bottle of remover isn't going to last long.

Message: Lynnie, did they send a special remover or what are you referring to there? This is all very interesting. Are you applying the NGF every day still? Or are you not applying the formula while you have the polish on?

Message: I ordered the Nuturella Vintage Rose and they are such pretty pinks! This morning I chose to apply the Valetine which is a very pretty medium pink.
Ok now I really like how easy the application is on this..it glides on so smooth and I was amazed at how fast it dries. With other nail polish I wait to apply the second coat but after I read that Lynnie said that is dries real quick..I did not wait and just went right ahead and put the second coat on.There was not dents or bubbles that I have experienced with other nail polish when you apply the second coat.
This color also has a matte finish and not glossy at all..it very dull looking but I really like it anyway..it is such a pretty pink!
I also got to put it to the test on denting because right after I applied it the phone rang and usually after I apply a nail polish if I do just the smallest thing I end up with nicks in the polish but that did not happen this time so for now I am really impressed!
Hey Lynnie the remover is such a tiny bottle..I just thought it would be a little bigger.
