Subject: Medicare....hahahahaha
Message: What a joke! I am so sick of the way those people treat us! If they really wanted to make it right they should switch all us "seniors" to Medicaid, so everything we need would actually be covered and we could actually afford to EAT too!

Message: Barbara I know what you mean!My mom is 71 and is a diabetic..also last Feb she fell and broke her hip and shoulder..then had a heart attack. It was a total nightmare..she had to go into a nursing home for 2 months because the hip had to heal on its own. I had to fight with medicare on everything from medical equipment that she needed to meds and the nursing home coverage!
She now is on tons of meds and can barely make ends meet so my hubby and I try to help out finacially as much as we can...but Meicare stinks and when you call them they are rude and do not have a clue as to what they are doing.

Message: Lori, wait a minute, you mean there are actual PEOPLE, at Medicare? I hate their endless loop of "if you are 62 press 1, if you are 65 press 2 CRAP!
It is just really frustrating that the politicions pretend to be so interested in all this....HELL, they don't have to worry about it, they are covered by our money!

Message: It is more illusive than learning the truth of the Bible isn't it?
One interpretation, another interpretation! And guess who gets caught in the cross hairs! The ones that made the politicians rich fat cats! They don't care anymore because we are not contributing to *their* coffers, we are depleting *their* resources!!!!!
Our parents were so trained to trust in the government, and believe they would look out for them. After all they were putting their money up and saving it for their golden years, RIGHT????
Bless their innocents!
It was a more innocent time, was it not?

Message: doesn't seem that long ago, when you went to work for a good, solid company that you had that job for life and your retirement was protected. not so anymore. it's gone or worthless. my dad used to say that social security was never intended for seniors to live on, especially with inflation, which has been around forever, and that a person's retirement with a company was what mattered. if that's gone what's left? kills me to see so many elderly people barely scraping by every month.

Message: Scraping is absolutely correct. My sweet little Mum lived on 524.00 a month. You tell me if that is secure, let alone socially acceptable. She worked for more than 40 years with an OB/GYN and contributed the "necessary/required funds" and we had to go to court to even get her SS started. Mum was adopted and they disputed some records! Give me a fricken break!
You Dad was a very wise bird! It really is a sad state these day. I, ME, MY, MINE, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME! What about the ones that built this country into what it is today. The ones that would blindly, and willingly give their all! What about them?????
