Subject: QVC Boards
Message: I mostly post on the beauty and anything goes threads on the Q boards...but I do read the other threads. On the jewelry and apparel it seems like most of the women just complain about everything the Q sells and I do not get this.
They complain that the cloths are outdated and the same colors..but when I go to the mall I see the same colors and fashions that I am seeing on QVC.They also complain about the jewelry and that it is not good quality but I have bought pieces before and had no problems...it has also been cheaper than what I have seen out in stores. When I have purchased clothing I have been pleased and even gotten compilments on some items I have worn.
So my question to you long time shoppers with the Q is ...am I missing something here?

Message: Ahem.... it sounds to me like maybe some people there should move their fannies away from their computers and TV's into an actual STORE if they don't like what is being offered.

Message: Here too is a thought! If you don't like something, don't purchase it. Moveing their fannies is putting it in the kindest light Lynnie.
I also notice about the slow shipping with them lately. What is that about. do ya' think? or should that read - What do you think that is about? I know you think!

Message: Hey Lynnie I thought maybe it is just me being out of the loop. When I got married 3 years ago I got to quit work and be the stay at home Mom..so I am in the casual mode and just love the Denim &Co line. I just wondered if it is me being a frump and not up on the fashion scene or just people who love to complain.
I think some of the Quacker Factory is really cute and have a few shirts...the women on the boards love to trash the QF line.So maybe I am just not a fashion diva...or just out of touch.

Message: Since there is NO fashion in Vidalia, AT ALL, I don't worry in the least about it any more. I wear the things that are fashionable to ME! In other words....Does it fit? And yes, I do like that color! Or the cut of that dress is flattering, at leat to a little old round body! So girl if it works for you, get the darn thing!

Message: And something else I have a question about is this! They kicked me off as Barbara Wheeler, when I could be totally up front and honest, I wonder how many there are on that beauty board that are there from the companies that are Q vendors. I mean when you get the mean spirit for no apparent reason, THERE HAS TO BE A REASON. Are they the TIPS ladies in disguise as I am "glad to be here", which is only a thin vale. But now I am not at liberty to really tell any of the truth lest I be banished with yet another name!

Message: I've been surprised, too, by all the complaints about the Q on the Q boards - after all, no one forces people to shop there. I've shopped on QVC since 1991 and it has been a big help in terms of when I'm not well enough to go to malls, or simply in saving some money on some very good buys. Especially now that I no longer work at a corporation but out of my home, Denim & Co. is my wardrobe staple.
My only gripe with QVC has that the shipping now takes far longer than it used to - at least here to California. When I first became a customer, I would get items in about four days. Now it can be almost two weeks. I even had one TSV lost and then show up over 30 days later! So there is a major reduction in quality in their shipping and I've stated that on the boards.
I'm not involved in many chat rooms or forums, but I have a feeling that there are simply troublemakers who show up on a lot of those boards. Thank goodness we have a safe haven here!

Message: Lori! You aren't "out of the loop". Fashion is a very personal thing. Most of us wear what fits into our everyday life best. QVC has to cater to mainly middle America, don't you think? The Prada/Gucci set is a small sector. I like trendy fashions. Some of their stuff really tempts me. I was real close to ordering that snakeskin jacket TSV a couple weeks ago.
Like Jill and Barb say, nobody is forcing them to watch or buy.

Message: I don't bother complaining -- what is the point? I just don't buy as much if I think the quality is down. I have shopped Q's jewelry for 16 years (OMG - has it been THAT long?) and I do agree that the gold and jelewry products have been "cheapened" by making them thinner, etc. I hardly ever buy jewelry there now. But for me, forum boards should be fun and a great place to get and share info, not whine! Like here!
