Subject: Allergic reaction
Message: I'm dying to try the nail growth formula, but just read that it has Lanolin in it, and I'm allergic to wool.. but don't know if I'm allergic to Lanolin. Does anyone else have a wool allergy that is successfully using this product? Thanks in advance for your help!

Message: Hi Nance,
If you have any hand lotions in your stash of goodies, check to see if any of them have lanolin. If you are able to use that, I would assume you would be alright. It may just be that wool itches the skin causing reactions. Or I guess it could be a bit of dander in the actual fabric. Don't really know this from first hand knowledge though. Hope this helps. Maybe someone else will respond too!

Message: Hi Nance! I have a little sis, Nancy, who goes by Nance. I also have a wool allergy. I can't wear any without itching and getting hives. Even a lined skirt or pants don't work. That's the extent of my allergy, though. I don't get anaphylaxis from it. That is where you'd want to exercise caution.
I think Barbara has the right idea when it comes to checking your other lotions. Chances are good you use lanolin on a daily basis.

Message: Thanks, Lynnie -- you're probably right...I'll check my lotions -- so, do you use nail growth forumula with no reaction? Thanks in advance!

Message: Nance - my only reaction is GOOD nails!
Really, you would not believe how many things I'm allergic to - cat dander, some seafoods, aspirin, ibuprofen, wool, talc, the list goes on! I even get hives from extreme temperature changes, usually on face and chest. And I get some extreme reactions with food or medicines that don't agree. NGF hasn't bothered me one bit, not even from touching my face after using it. To be safe, maybe consider the sample size. That jar lasts a month.
Hey, the upside - you and I saved alot of money on cashmere sweaters this year. More money to pamper ourselves in other ways!
