Subject: Licensed?
Message: Wow! I have not been posting lately, but I have been trying to read the forum every night to keep up with you gals. How I missed all the hub-bub with Kim and her inability to understand how this great product of Barbs works is beyond me - but I missed it all until I went through the posts tonight.
Why is it that because a person has a license to practice something they think they know it all. I am a medical transcriptionist. I have been pushed and pushed to pay out a large sum of money to become a CMT (certified medical transcriptionist), which means I have to pass the AAMT test to get a license so I will qualify to put the initials CMT behind my name. If a license and having the initials CMT behind your name means you know more than someone that does not have those credentials, then why have I had to train several CMT's because they did not know simple terminology and made gross mistakes constantly. A license means nothing to me and initials behind my name mean far less than the ones that go before my name - Mrs. I am good at what I do and I know it and that is all I need to know - but it sure doesn't mean I know everything, with or without a license. I don't think Kim will do her research or probably even post here again. It is really too bad she at least doesn't give the product a good try so she can see that we all DO know what we are talking about when we say THIS PRODUCT WORKS!

Message: Good morning June. Long time no see. .....Well the good news is that Kim is the exception to the heard head rule, she ordered the product is say in a private e-mail that she would give it her best shot. She saw how adamant every one is about the potential for her own nails and decided to give us a fair shake. So she was at least open to the possibilities.
CMT= Country Music Television am I right? OOPS, no that is not what they call it now days!
The best reason I can think of to continue with that sort of paid education is to put a larger bling into your own bank account. One of our daughters is now working on her Masters in Education so the old pay check will pay off in the end...Hopefully the bling, bling will ca-ching, ca-ching for her soon! I know it is caching-ing the coffers of the University!
I do know that it is sometimes difficult to grasp the simple concept that a product will work, due to all of the false advertising, and out right lies that is rampant in the world today. But if you actually research the ingredients you could at least understand the "workings" of the product and know that at the very least it wont de detrimental!
Good to have you back here with us. Were your holidays full and busy, and are you now down on you bling bling too?!?!?! (Welcome to MY world!)
Heading out to Atlanta again this morning. Gotta go pick up my new glasses, so I can hopefully see the keyboard and screen for another year! LOL
See you this evening when I get back in here. Have a great day. I am certain the other girls will all be in here shortly so enjoy yourselves and play nice while Mummy is gone for today!

Message: Wow, June, I can't believe they are requiring certification for your field now! Alot of people I know do transcribing as a side job out of their homes. I took a course in terminology years ago and considered that, but ended up woking in an office instead. I'm sure, by now, you have enough clients that don't give a hoot if you personally are certified. They probably are more interested in turnaround time and accuracy.
I'm sure you missed Kim's thread about placing an order. Pretty exciting stuff and real openminded of her. I'm anxious for her to try and hope she shares some of her base knowledge here as well.

Message: Well, I am glad Kim decided to give the product a try. It really is great stuff. Can't wait to hear her review. And Barb - having a CMT certificate really would not put more bling-bling in my coffers, but it would put more into the AAMT bank account. If they pushed to try to do something for all of the MTs it would be different, but they don't. Doesn't matter to me. I love my job and I get paid very well.
Oh goody! Barb is getting new glasses and tonight she will SEE all of us on the forum.

Message: I am glad that kim is giving it a try also.Hey when I first read post on the Q BB from Moi and Denise I was really skeptical because I was using TIPS at the time and having no results and Prostrong before that...heck I had used so many products and they did not do what they promised to do.But NGF did and I am so glad that I took the plunge.
