Subject: Hi Ladies

Message:
Hi Ladies, I'm feeling like posting a little tonight, so I think I am coming out of my Fibro-funk! It's been a rough couple of weeks, but I'm starting to rebound from it. Fibro-sufferers will understand.

I've missed you all, and I have been peeking in to see what has been going on, but not able to type or put too many thoughts together! Oh, well.

I've missed alot, and feel like I've been on another planet, but I'll be back to posting form very soon.

Have a good night and I haven't forgotten or abandoned y'all!!!

Karen!

Hi Karen,
I too suffer from fibromyalgia. We should talk about it sometime... Anyone else on the board struggle with this? Do share...

Hi Karen! Glad you are coming out of it! A girlfriend of mine in AZ was posting on another board last night that she's been immobile a couple weeks from her fibro as well. Must be that time of year?

Has Remy learned how to cuddle when Mom isn't feeling well? Pets can be so intuitive.

Good to see you back.

Hi Karen - I can relate to how you feel as I have suffered from fibro and CFS for years. Have a few good days and others I just want to sit in the corner and cry, but I just keep on keeping on. Kinda hard when I work as an MT and my brain gets all fuddled. Didn't even know that was a symptom at first until I reread the handout the doctor gave me. I just thought it was old age. <grin> Glad you are feeling better. I know how rough it can be at times.

Thank you all for being so kind, and I really have missed you all. I will give Remy hugs and kisses from you. He is off to the groomer's tomorrow for a kennel cut and bath, and nail clipping. I am not using the NGF on him!!! Just on me!!!!!

For all of you suffering from Fibro, and related diseases, there is a thread on the Dark Side (QBB) for Fibromyalgia under Anything Goes. Yes, I have been suffering from being unable to focus and concentrate, and I can't even comprehend most information when I'm like this. I'm just starting to feel really up to posting some more today.

If anyone wants to email me about the fibro, or needs a shoulder to cry on you can email me on adelduce@nycap.rr.com. I've had it since 1991 and it was diagnosed in 1992. It's awful to have this and no matter what you do, it's always around. Some of the posters on the Fibro thread have said they had it, they cured themselves, and this fibro stuff is a lot of BUNK. They certainly didn't have it!!

I'll be in and out because I'm still not better, but I will be napping and checking in.

Thank you all for caring, and yes, Remy is keeping me company and is very good for me. He is a delight, and so sweet tempered. What a smart dog too!!

RE: Hi Ladies

Message:
Hi Karen,

I've been thinking of you and am so glad you were able to check
in with us. I know I've mentioned a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
and Fibromyalgia website to you personally that I've used for
years, but I'll mention it hear for others. It's
www.ImmuneSupport.com. I developed Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome in the summer of 1984 - the summer of the first big
outbreak near Lake Tahoe - and had it through the mid 1990's.
This website that I mentioned first started as a catalog of
supplements called the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Buyers Club,
in which they sold supplements that were recommended by the
leading CFS physicians and researchers, and used the proceeds
to give to CFS research.

The website is a wealth of information about the latest studies -
many showing the CFS and fibromyalgia shows up in specific
ways in our brains, our spinal fluid, our natural killer cells etc. -
stuff that most doctors have never believed and hence called us
all emotional nuts.

I'm also pleased that this website is FINALLY making the
connection, in some patients' cases, among CFS, fibromyalgia,
Lyme Disease, gluten intolerance, Gulf War Syndrome and a host
of related syndromes. As most of you know, I was bitten by a
tick three years ago and am now dealing with Lyme and several
other tick-borne diseases, so my issues are similar but also very
different than my days with CFS. However, anyone dealing with a
chronic illness with disabling symptoms may benefit from the
website I mentioned. If for no other reason, there are some good
reports about vitamins, topical creams, whatever that are
sometimes worth a try for either symptomatic relief or to
support our badly compromised immune systems.

I have no financial interest in the website, again, I just champion
them because they seem to be on the leading edge of research
and also have been giving money to CFS/fibromyalgia research
long before the medical community would even validate us one
bit.

Best to all of you,
Jill

If they did had fibromyalgia, they could not cure it themselves. It is one of the most frustrating diseases for bothe the patient and the medical staff. I work with a nurse who has it and who also developed breast cancer. She has been in remission for 5 years now, but talk about being kicked when you are down.

it's a shame that the medical community has taken so long to actually valadate it's existence. we, as women get shown the door, as it is anyway, when it comes to so many illnesses.
