Subject: sunny & 23-no, not my age!
Message: ladies,
i just have to tell you what a gorgeous day i have right now! i know some of you are going to think i've lost my mind, beacause, after all, it is 23 degrees, but the snowfall we had yesterday has stayed clinging to the trees, especially my tall canadian spruces in my back yard, and it looks like a postcard. all i need now is the budweiser sleigh with the bells going through! i don't get a chance to "brag" about the weather too often in the winter, but this is a clear, blue spectacular day!

Message: And we had snow last night, not much, mind you,but more than we have had all winter. Temperature is just a couple of degrees less than you and it is still kind of snowing.
We were in New York in May and stayed overnight in a little town called Watertown. Is that anywhere near you?

Message: Lorraine,
we've been very lucky so far too, snowfall-wise. watertown is quite a long way away from me. go to NYC then head straight north to get to watertown, i think. i live on the other side of new york, the west half, close to cleveland, ohio. everybody, where i'm from in Mississippi, when they hear i live in new york, immediately asks me how i like living in the city?! i couldn't live any farther away from NY city and still live in NY state than i do now. been there once, that was enough. we pay enough of their tax bill as it is!! i think they should seceed and become the 51st state, but that would just probably p--s off Texas!! one of these days we're going to visit alberta. i love seeing the rockies no matter what country they're in!

Message: That sounds heavenly, but I need a warm beach with tropical breezes to keep perpetuating my dried out, shriveled up face....Must not change thing at this late stage of my life.
I do love the crispness of the air on those days though! Clean and clear....
We're in the office listening to my Janice Joplin best hits, Me and Bobby McGee....I'm old and loving it! Loud and course!

Message: We went to Niagara Falls, then crossed into NY, travelled through northern NY, stayed overnight at Watertown, then through Thousand Islands and back to Kingston,ON. We did not actually go to NYC. My daughter lives about 45 minutes from Kingston. They are being transferred to Vancouver Island this summer, though. He is with the Canadian Air Force.

Message: well, when you came through and saw niagara falls you were only about an hour-and-a-half from me. if you had come through the "southern half" of NY you would have come through us. we went to the adirondacks, thousand islands and the hudson valley, a year ago, this past sept. we called it our NY state tour! there's just so much more of this state than NYC! vancouver island in vancouver, B.C? sounds neat.

Message: They have been transferred to Comox,BC. There is apparently a private beach, available only to the military, which is very beautiful. She got her degree in Victoria and is so happy to go back. They have a flower count in February. Now isn't that just disgusting!
