Subject: Do you reeeaaaalllly love your pets???
Message: I was listening to a cooking show on the radio this morning and a guy called in. He had just bought a crockpot and wanted to be able to make food for his cat. He was looking for a cookbook, or hoping someone might be willing to put together some pet friendly recipes. He said his cat was very picky about her food and would only eat the high end cat food. He was hoping he could save some $$$ by making his own. Well, this prompted another pet story by someone else....
This guy says that he has a poodle who will ONLY eat McDonalds Quarterpounders. Not only is that the only thing the dog will eat at night for dinner, but he MUST eat it at McDonalds, sitting on one of the concrete benches. So, everynight they take their pooch to McD's for dinner. LOL

Message: Yes Cheryl, but to get "PICKY EATER" trophies ya' gotta bend over....It's cool, the breeder we used to buy our Bauernhoffens from, Mrs. Henri Bauer, used to cook chicken and rice for all of the babies every day, twice a day. Sometimes as many as 55 on the kennel grounds at one time. Never a missed meal in 63 years of breeding. Now that is devotion! Talk about the love of the breed!

Message: that's worse than having milking cows!! i have cooked rice, on a few ocassions, for dixie, as she has a "sensitive belly" sometimes, but that's about it. i found a holistic, all natural, preservative free, food brand for pussy cats and puppy dogs that i'm thrilled with. all 3 cats eat the same kind of food now, instead of all 3 eating something "age appropriate". i was about to lose my mind buying all that different food.

Message: What is the name of the brand? My cats are 11 years old and the female throws up a lot. I don't know if it would be available in Canada though.

Message: Lorraine,
the brand is called burns cat & dog food. i don't
remember the address, but do a google search for
burns dogfood. the formula comes from a vet in great
britain. it's highly digestible and the adult cat food is
just loved by my 12 year old, my 3 year old, and my 1
and a half year old 3 legged sweety. i just switched my
12 year old black lab to it, which took a little longer. no
preservatives, no fillers, real food, not "floor
sweepings"!

Message: My parrot is doing well, kasi. It's time for another beak and nail trim though. She had chicken and cornbread for dinner tonight with the rest of us. She wouldn't touch her broccoli. Typical kid!
