Subject: OILY SKIN
Message: First, I have to tell Cheryl, I can so relate, as I have extremely oily skin as well, and I love hope in a jar. My morning routine is:
1. Cleanse with Clientele's Renewal Lotus Wash
2. philosophy MCD peel pads
3. HIAJ w/scoop of vitamin C powder mixed with a few drops of the philosophy facial firming serum
4. philosphy's clear powder - this is my secret weapon - it is for topical shine reduction and oil control. I Love this stuff.
5. Clientele's Silksation Face Primer
6. BE makeup including mineral veil
I don't even have to touch up half way through the day because of the "shinies". I called philosophy's customer service when I was having a problem with feeling like my makeup was sliding "into my shoes" because of my oily skin and the girl recommended the clear powder. It really is good stuff. I wish I had read the board before I packed up the beauty box - I would have put you some in the cute little jars that Barbara gave me to put in the box.
Barbara, I think Hope in a Jar is a great moisturizer for you and they make one for Dry skin. I have put some sample packets of HIAJ and purity cleanser in the beauty box.

Message: Deb and Cheryl - I was watching one of my favorite shows, Ten Years Younger, and the makeup artist there recommends you keep oil blotting tissues in your purse. You've probably tried those. Do they work?

Message: I have very oily skin and acne prone.I have to be careful of what products I use because they break me out.I have been using the Laura Geller oil blotting powder and like it but am still oily.I tried the oil blotting papers and like them but use them like crazy.I am so oily that after applying my makeup I look like an oil slick 30 min later.
Deb I am using the LG spackle right now but when I run out I am going back to Philosophy The Present..really like it better. My question is I have never used the clear powder and wonder if it makes your face feel tight? I have used some prodcuts and it feels like you have a mask on after application.
Sorry I have not been around much my son has Strep throat and has been sick all week..but he is getting better. All you ladies that posted your pics on the Q bb are beautiful and Deb your are gorgeous and so are your daughters..they take after their Mom.
Have a good weekend!

Message: Hi Barbara I would trade...my mother has dry skin and tells me that I am lucky and will not have that many wrinkles as I get older...but I hate my oily skin..I feel as though makeup is oozing off my face.

Message: I haven't found "it" yet either. I will have to try the Philosophy again; I actually have some and maybe didn't give it enough of a chance. I have been trying DermaDoctor's Porefection this week, and it is actually helping.

Message: I'll tell you what I did today.... and will do it again. I mixed my Oil of Olay Face Serum (primer) with my BE foundation. Amazing. I just put a little squirt in my hand, then added the BE. Rubbed it all together with my fingers and applied it like you would any liquid foundation. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it did for me.
Then, I went ahead and did my eyes and when my primer mix had fully dried, I went over it with my Tinted Mineral Veil.

Message: every time i go to a make-up counter i'm constantly being sold on wearing a moisturizer. i can come right out and tell them i don't want one, don't need one, i just need something to soak up the oil and they just don't hear or believe me, i guess. i used to wear eye cream, but that started breaking me out at my temples and i've even had pimples on my eye lids! i'm not some cystic acne, pock faced "kid" walking around, even though it sounds like it. i'm just sick and tired of the white heads, blackheads, pimples, large pores and oil field!! at 43, enough is enough i say!! normal skin would be nice.
