Message: First of all, I just want to say that you ladies are awesome.
Barbara, I know it has been said many times, but thanks for letting us meet and chat here - about all kinds of stuff.
Jill, you take your time and focus on you, my dear. When you are ready to join in, you just let us know where to send the box.
Lynnie, great suggestion regarding the postage issue.
I received an email from Tina with some great suggestions regarding "sanitary sampling". She said that makeup artists use a quick swipe with an alcohol swab to sanitize the end of a lipstick. A pencil can be sharpened to clean it. Spatulas for jars. Tubes and bottles should be good as you can just squeeze out a little. Perfumes and nail polishes do not require sanitizing. Eye shadows and lip glosses - Qtips work good. I am going to Lenox Mall tomorrow, hopefully and I will see if I can get some of those single use mascara wands for sampling mascara from Sephora.
Tina also thought keeping an envelope in the box for beauty coupons. If you see one you would use - take it. See an expired one - toss it. Have one you won't use - put it in. I will also go and get a little notebook so that we can kind of journal to each other, if you want to add comments. If not, just send it on.
We are also looking for a source for the little pots, like BE comes in. We could keep some of those in the box for sending samples - just make sure to label it.
Okay - now last but not least here is the list of willing participants (in no particular order). I will go ahead and admit that Geography was probably my worst subject in school, not to mention that I have been out of school a long, long, long time. Anyone want to take the list and put together a mailing order - please feel free.........

Message: There are a couple of sources for BE pots....
1 is colorfulsprinkles.com
They are 10 for $5 and are actual BE pots. They come in both brow and shadow sizes. They are the empty pots used from the product she makes samples with. She doesn't sterilize them, so we would need to wash them out however, she does point out that in each pot there is enough product for at least 1 try. Also, Michaels sells some painters pigment pots. The thing I don't like about them as much, though I have and use them also, is that they are not a screw lid but a flip lid and SOMETIMES when opening them it can get messy.
Also, I as thinking, in the journal we could make a list of the colors we do have and that way if theres something someone really wanted to try and it wasn't in the box, they could mark it down.
If you decide to order your pots from colorfulsprinkles.com, type SHIPBE in the promo box and the shipping is free.

Message: I will order some today - they may not make it here in time for the first box to go out, but I can find out where the box is when they come in and maybe send them ahead to the next person on the list and they can just put some in the box.
Good idea for listing colors - but I wasn't gonna buy a BIG notebook.....lol Tina and I traded lists already of colors of just BE that we had. Now, it includes everything, eyeshadows, liners, foundations, all over face colors, cheek colors, etc. Well, I have 119 different colors - she has 211!!!!! So, you could jot down next to the color I have that you want to try and I would send it to ya. Good Idea!!

Message: Deb,
Will my little quarter ounce jars work for the other samples to pass around? If so I will just enclose about a dozen of them when I receive the pkg. and they can just ride around the country looking for a fill up!

Message: I think I only have about 30 colors. I'm a novice! LOL Now, let's be sure about this.... with the BE, do we just try it and send it on, or is this a case where if you like it you keep it and add something else? My thought was just to try it and send it on. If we like it, we can get it ourselves. That way, since so many of us already know we love BE, everyone will get a chance at the colors. What do you think?
And another pitch for colorfulsprinkles... the sample sizes you get for the $3.75 will last forever! When my daughter and I share, we put whatever color we are sharing into a pot and use one of those little round doodads... dots... and write the name on it and stick it on the bottom.
In the box, if anyone has a 'recipe'for a good color, write it down so the rest of us can see it!!! LOL
OH, and one more thing.... if you're sending something like a perfume or oil or something, maybe stick it in a ziplock bag so that if it leaks it doesn't go all over everything.

Message: Barb, your little jars are not much bigger than the BE pots and should work, IMO. You wouldn't be able to see the colors, but that's not a big deal... we'd hafta open the lid to use them anyway. LOL

Message: Barb, if Moi says they will work, then they will work. I think the doodad dots are a great idea. Ziplock bag - great idea. With the BE, I think either way is fine, but ladies this is just my opinion. If you like it and want to order it, fine and dandy, if you like it and can't live without it until you order it - feel free to keep it - I am totally cool with that.
So, anybody want to take a stab at the order in which we should circulate this little treasure box???
