Subject: Kristy every effort counts!
Message: It is ok to use the clear coat if you just can't stand the nails without it. But please be aware that the drying effects will hender the desired results, i.e. stopping the layering and splitting. Are your nails long enough to put a dab of the cream under the nail? If so do that and use a little soft nail brush to just sort of "scrub" it all up under the edges. That will help with that part!
How are your cuticles?

Message: Kristy,
i use a 4 sided buffer to give my nails quite a shine. looks like i've got a clear coat on. i use the buffing cream and barbara's buffer at the beginning of the month to buff out the irregularities in the nail bed, then i use the highest number with the 4 sided buffer, the last one, and it really looks like i have a clear coat on. if your nails are in good shape and not damaged by acrylics then use the buffing cream first, then the buffer and you will have a great shine.

Message: That's exactly what I do too, Cheryl. You need that fine buffing to complete the look. My daughter asked me if I was wearing polish because she knows I'm NOT these days.

Message: Sorry I'm just getting back. Yes my nails are over the finger tip and I could put cream under the nail. I will do that. My cuticles are not cracked but I do have a little excessive cuticle tissue. I do not cut unless it's gets to be alot and I just trim it. Since using the cream they are better. I ordered the buffing kit. When I get it I will take off my clear coat.

Message: Kristy,
Do NOT cut the cuticles. It can lead to infections!
Just push them back while rubbing in the formula. And don't use anything but your fingertip to push them back with. They will not be damaged doing it this way.
You should receive your kit today or tomorrow at the latest I imagine.
We are starting a Beauty Box round robin if you are interested. Just read about it on the Beauty Box threads and let us know if you want in!

Message: Kristy,
i think you will be amazed at how shiny they can be! just for thirty days-that's all we're asking!! i just purchased a new "Salon Plus 7-Way Buffer" at my local rite-aid for $1.49. like i said before, use the buffing cream with the chamois buffer to get out the irregularities, then use the step 6: buff nail, then the step 7: shine nail, and you will swear you have a clear coat on. when you find the 7 step buffer, you will see what i mean.

Message: Cheryl - Is that that 3-sided one with the plastic backing? If so, I had one of those. That one is amazing for the price.

Message: Sorry I'm not a whiz with computers. Guess what I got my kit, man talk about fast service! I am not quite sure on the beauty box. I have to go back and reread it. I didn't understand it. I think once I start using the buffing cream I will be able to do without the polish. Cheryl, do I need to purchase this buffer to use besides the one that comes with the kit? We don't have a rite-aid. We have a Sally's, Walgreens and CVS. Where else can I get one? I won't cut anymore, promise! Ok I will go take off my polish and try this to see what happens. Ok so after polish is off do buffing cream then growth cream in that order? I'll check the site just in case. Any tips on buffing? I have never buffed before! Do you go side to side or does it matter? I don't want to do this wrong and I really want these products to work for me. Like I said I feel I wasted so much time with other products and a little damage. My sister is getting married in April (second time) I want nice nails for the wedding.
