Soooo, last night I'm in here playing a game and my daughter says, 'whatcha doin'? I says 'playin a game' she says 'come to the living room' I says, 'okay'.
In the living room, she and my son had set up a mini salon. They had our foot massager out, running and nice and warm. My first treat was a pedicure! While my DD was doing that, my son was massaging my hands and NGF into my nails and rubbing lotions, etc like they do when you get a manicure in a salon. After the soaking, I got the whole toe NGF treatment. Then I got the foot massage, the leg rub, all the while my son was still working on my hands. THEN, when that was all done, I got a neck rub from my son and my DD put my hair up in french braided piggy tails because, she says, 'maybe it will help you sleep better to have your hair out of the way'. The whole spa treatment lasted about an hour. I was soooo relaxed! My son says 'so mom, do you wonder why we did that?' and I says, 'cuz you love me'? and he says 'yes, but also because you always do stuff for us even when it makes you hurt.' I was near tears. I love my babies!!!

OOOOOOOOOHH! How totally sweet.
That makes me cry. I so miss my children at those ages, when they believe Mum is the be all end all. That is what Mums live for! IMHO!

makes me cry too. your kids appreciate you now and that's such a blessing. most of the time it takes until we are fully grown adults to realize what our parents did and do for us. yours, at a young age, have an early start.

As many times as our kids, when they are little or grown, make us want to reach out and choke them, we can always reach back and retrieve those many memories of the wonderful times we shared and the wonderful things they did or said. I think the nicest compliment my daughter ever gave me was when she was pregnant with her first child. She said "Mom, all I want is to be as good a mother to my children as you have been to David and me." That really brought tears to my eyes. Our children are a precious gift in so many ways.

That was so very sweet of your kids to do for you. Very blessed indeed.
My 3 year old granddaughter LOVES to put on NFG and buff it in...she does her nails, my nails and then Papa's nails. She is so cute to watch as she is very serious about the amount of product and how to buff.

kasi, that is sooo cute! It's good for her to learn nail care at an early age!!!! My mom was a nail biter too, so I followed in her footsteps. I am hoping my kids will learn better now that I am making the change too!
The other day Megan, 15, said something about my nails. I gave her my purse size NGF and told her to use it for beautiful nails. She laughed, knowing what she was about to do and said, but mom.. that's what acrylics are for!! I mock screamed and gasped, pretending to faint with my hand across my forhead. LOL She took the jar and dutifully began to rub.

Kasi, same thing with my 5 year old GD, Cierra. She has to do my nails, then her Papas, then she will sit and just rub away at hers....The problem is that she hates the way the fileing feels so she will NOT tolorate that, we have to clip them.....(shhhhh!)
Moi, you tell Megan I am proud of her for being such a little "smarty breeches!" She would fit right in with my crowd here! And Red is great with letting the little girls in the family just "have their way with him.!?!@#$%^&*()" LOL
