I am I serious guitar player and my skin won't grow to my nails. I made the mistake of cutting my nails extremely short a couple years ago so the skin underneath my nail became unattached to the nail itself. Is there any way to make the skin attach to the nail besides growing them out. I can't grow them out because I have to play the guitar every day.

Hey Jesse, the simple answer is: NO. On the contrary, when the nail is off the nailbed and it stays like that for a few months the nailbed will eventually become "normal" skin. That is the reason why nailbiters have so much skin on their fingertips and the nail starts way down.
