Subject: Nail Polish
Message: I have seen a few post on here asking about nail polish. I forgot about this until tonight. A couple of years ago I ordered some water based nail polish and tonight I found the site that I had ordered it from. This is natural, lets your nails breathe, and it does stay on your nails. I ordered four colors at that time and my favorite was the Fairy Dust, which is a pale frosty pink. They have several colors to choose from, plus a french manicure kit. The polish is $5.99 a bottle. One coat covers very well. Don't know why I forgot about this. Guess it is because I seldom wear nail polish. Have no desire to now especially with my natural shiny nails, but it may be an option for some of you that do like to wear nail polish. Anyway, you can check out their web site. They also have a natural nail polish remover and other natural cosmetics if you are into that kind of stuff like I am. The web site is called Honeybee Gardens.

Message: Mocha Latte looks like something I used years ago. Loved the color, hated the removal process. If it is water based, does it wash off in the kitchen sink? ~~~~~~LOL~~~~~~

Message: I am so interested in this waterbased polishes. I might actually break down and try this site, June as it's a far cry cheaper than $18 a bottle.
The thing is, even though they are getting smaller, I still have verticle ridges and I discovered that it's along these ridges that the little chippy peely things happen. So I started using a clear polish over my nails and it helped stop that. I know that they will continue to get better with NGF use, I see it all the time, but I would love to have them be a little longer and I think if I can find a decent clear polish, I can get past the splitty peely chippy stage. Thanks for posting this.

Message: As I said earlier, it has been a long time since I used this, but it does not wash off in the sink > LOL. I don't know how it works or how it stays on, I just remember that it did. It is the same consistency as regular 'yucky' nail polish but does not have the 'yucky' stuff in it. I am sure if Barbara checks out the site she will know more than I do what is good or bad in the ingredients. I only know it is supposed to be natural. I did order the clear polish to use as a base coat before putting on the colored polish. I just feel so dumb when I think about people asking about a good polish that they could use and here I had forgotten all about this stuff. If you MUST wear a polish or LIKE to wear a polish I would rather something good go on those nails. I just love my natural nails so much since finding the NGF that I have no desire to use a polish. I just posted this as an option for the ladies that do like their nails polished. They do have some pretty colors don't they Barbara. The mocha was one that I also got way back then.

Message: I have to go check this out for sure! As long as the removal isn't about acetone, this might be a nice treat. Thanks, June!

These are the same mineral pigments that BE uses. You could make custom colors with the BE and the clear nail polish from this company!

Message: The only thing that frightens me here is the word acrylic! So you will indeed need a polish remover that has acetone? Is that a correct assumption? I mean acetone is the only thing that removes the acrylic fakes, so it stands to reason that it would apply here too. Any thoughts!@#$%^&*(

Message: the "natural" removers i've used before had alcohols in them and i found i really had to rub pretty hard to remove any polish, clear or colors. the polishes on the honeybee site, that i saw, were peel-able, which in theory sounds good, but when you peel them, i have to believe that the surface of the nail bed can feel the effects of that. i didn't see any "non-peelable ones". maybe i wasn't looking in the right place. i say, wear polish for special ocassions, use a non-acetone remover with conditioners, don't use it more than twice a month, and just continue rub, rub, rubbing!

Message: here! here! That is a pretty simple and thoughtful plan cheryl! I am actually in agreement with the nail polish for special occasions. I really like a couple of colors that are in the Loreal line up and that mocha on the web site was good looking to me too! I love to fancy up every now and then and show off to my shepherds about how up town their Mum is!

Message: Recently, I wore an OPI red polish and kept it on for 8 days. I used a base coat and top coat. The polish remover did have acetone in it. I washed my hands and then rubbed in my cream. My nails still looked good, they didn't appear to be dehydrated at all and did still have a shine. I'm sure it's because they were protected by the Growth Cream. I did continue to use the cream while wearing the polish.
