Thanks for the replies. I am getting treated by a dermatologist for the condition but it cannot be cured, only controlled so the only option I can see is some way to disguise it ie...nail polish that doesnt look like Im wearing any.
My nails are generally healthy its just a slight brown tint under parts of the nail and seperation from the bed at the ends of nails where it appears white. The shape is OK I just want a uniform color. Any help would be very much appreciated....cheers..Tony

Tony, I know a group of ladies on another board who are trying to get information regarding natural nail polishes that do not damage your nails. Once I get some information, I will either post here or email you. My first inclination though, would be to check into a color simiar to something used in a french manicure. As soon as I hear, I'll post back.

Tony, I did a little research and found this site. Please check it out. I don't know anything about the product, but it seems like it might work for you. I doubt you should be using harsh polishes and this seems very gentle and the colors SEEM nice.

Tony - the added strengh of some sort of polish would probably be good for preventing futher separation of nail from bed, I would think. Is your dermatologist giving you creams or ointments to use?
Moi - you are so nice. I had to check that site out. Don't you think that translucent french vanilla color could work well for a man? Another though, they are starting to make some polishes in matte colors, aren't they?

I actually really liked those colors, Lynnie.... they were very subtle and I thought they might be perfect for Tony. I am going to keep that site marked, for when I can afford $18.00 for a bottle of polish! LOLOL
