Hello!
In todays mail I recieved a lovely card and contribution bringing us to $435. Thank you, so much! It's amazing, isn't it? How kindness upon kindness, one here and one there, is really adding up!!! How, from so far so many have come to my 'rescue' and forever made a deep impression in my life. Again, to my everyday angels I say thank you! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

It will be really great when we learn that the chair is actually Your very own!!!! No Blue Cross Blue Shield denials. No pencil pusher telling you what you need, can't have, should have, and then they bill you again. UUUHHHHHHHHH! GRRRRRR! Snarl, sneer!

Actually lark, he is too loving to do that task. He would only want to be loved on and give lots of kisses, and they are so not deserving of his delightful personality. OR may be they would change their attitudes if they had a few loving creatures under foot to cure THEIR ills!
Any way isn't that great news about the fund amount?

There is no convincing him that a "bad" shepherd is ONLY a result of horrid people. *sigh* One day, regardless, I will own one.

Not to be nosy, but what are you guys talking about....I might be able to help. My husband is the director of sales and marketing at a company called Bruno Independent Living Aids. Look at their web site. They are a HUGE manufacturer of vehicle lifts for wheelchairs, scooters, etc. They also make stairlift products. Something of theirs was on Dr. Phil's show last week or so--Pat was all excited about it. If you are talking about a wheelchair for something, and Blue Cross is dinking you around, Pat knows people and might be able to help.

Hi Ava! This is another one of those items that the trolls on QBB made a really nasty stink about.
Moi is wheel chair bound. BC/BS is stopping the payments on her wheelchair "rental", for lack of a better term. She has to have this chair. So we set it up so that anyone that wanted to help with any kind of a contribution could e-mail me, I would in turn then give them, via e-mail, Moi's information for mailing what ever they might be able to share.
When the trolls on Q read about it, they started a bunch of POOP! about us running some kind of scam on this site. I really hate their mean spirit. But that is really neither here nor there, the issue is that Moi needs our help. Thank you for your kind offer. She really likes the chair she is in now so hopefully when all of the insurance dust settles, she will be able to purchase the chair she is in now directly from the provider. We are all praying for that outcome.

Right now, my kids/hubby lift the chair into the back of the car for me.
Regarding how far I am from getting the chair, I don't know yet. BC had it authorized until 12/27 and so sometime soon the rental company will bill them again for another 2 month period (I think). When BC rejects it, the rental co. will figure out how much BC has paid into the chair (only a protion of the monthly rental fee goes towards the chair) and then I can find out what it will cost me to purchse used. I knwo it will be hundreds, but I don't know how much. Initially they told me that they would charge BC 1,700 for the chair new, and would charge me in the neighborhood of $800 new. Used, I have no idea. That's where I stand right now.
The ladies here have been so amazing, so supportive and so helpful. Friendship, prayers and donations have been unending.
