Subject: nail biter
Message: hello ladies and gentlemen if your out there, I have a pretty bad nail biting problem and I was wondering if you guys had any tips for helping me stop. I recently got fake nails for the holidays to try to hide my gross habit from my husbands co-workers but they are due to come off soon and I want to stop this habit right away! Ive been pretty good about not biting the fake nails but every once in a while one ends up in my mouth for a second or two :P ~
thanks

Message: Hi Maggie,
You don't just drop a bad habit....What you need to do is replace that faulty habit with something of benefit. I have had plenty of ladies replace that chewing habit with the rubbing habit. Meaning: instead of the reflex being to slip those piggies into the clutches of their jaws, they break out a jar of the Natural Nails Growth Formula and rub it in. They are killing several birds with one motion.
First and foremost, both hands are busy and away from the teeth! Step away from the teeth!
Next they are hydrating their cuticles, which is critical to the recovery of healthy natural nails.... And their natural nails are stimulated into a more rapid growth pattern. The product has a cumulative effect so you less over time...Your nails will recover and your bad habit is replaced by a healthy habit that will benefit for a lifetime.

Message: I don't chew my nails, but I did have a pretty nasty habit of chewing my cuticles. Now, there aren't as many pieces of my cuticles to bite or pick AND though the NGF does smell good, it's not that palatable. So, a few nibbles quickly reminds me to get my hand out of my mouth.
Besides, there usually isn't room for my fingers in my mouth anymore since my foot always seems to be there.........lol

Message: Hi Maggie!
It's possible to have your teeth removed so you're not as likely to bite those nails, but that is extreme. :)
Actually, what I found is that when I started using NGF and replaced my bad habits of picking and tearing and biting, etc. with the good habit of rubbing in the NGF, the need/desire to pick etc left. I still have the occasional melt down (usually after a phone call with Barb trying to make heads or tails of what she is saying with that heavy drawl of hers) and when that happens I just grab my nifty little nail file and file them down a bit. Not only have I spared my nails from an abuse session, I have nourished them and helped them out some.
Just try to replace the bad habit with a good one!

Message: I've never been a nailbiter, but I used to find myself nibbling on the acrylics because the feel of the glue underneath after a fill would bug me. Anyway, what everyone here says about replacing the habit makes sense to me. After you devote 20 minutes daily rubbing in Nail Growth Formula and seeing your results, you won't want to undo your hard work by nibbling. Plus, your nails won't be as peely or snaggy as before, so rough edges shouldn't tempt you. Be sure you have a nail file in your purse to discourage that.
Good luck to you!

Message: Just think of the time invested in rubbing as "*ME*" time! Take the time for the pampering, and once the nails are healthy and have some strength and enough growth, get your self a manicure as a reward!
