Subject: What I've learned......
Message: I am 46 and had picked at my nails all my life. My doctor prescribed Buspar for me to relieve me of anxiety. It helps, but it's not 100%. I've had acrylic nails. But I picked those off too. The best thing I've learned is to get a manicure done every two weeks. Learn from the professional how it is done until you can do it yourself. Buy good tools. Also I have tried lots of protein polishes, etc. and hand cremes and Nailtechique (sp?) is by far the best I've ever used. It's a little expensive, but it is worth it. I get mine at a drugstore, but a beauty supply place may carry it also. It really is worth the money. I have even given these as gifts. They have a maintenance program for "after acrylic" nails. I would really suggest this product. It's helped me.
