Subject: Christmas Countdown
Message: Ok Ladies - the time is near. I can hardly wait. I have started exchanging gifts - last night with my Bible Study Ladies. We all had pedicures, courtesy of one of the ladies in my group. Then we met back at the coffee shop for coffee and a snack. I will exchange today with ladies in the office. Thursday I will finish up my shopping for Christmas dinner and for the Christmas party at the boss's house. What an exciting time of year. Yesterday was the last day of school here - so the grandkids are out of school and restless. Those presents under the tree are so tempting to poke a hole in....lol
I wish each and every one of you a magical time with your family. I know that you've all been "good girls". If you are traveling, please be careful and stay safe. Merry Christmas to each of you. Deb

Message: Countdown began here on Sunday. We have so many children in the family now we sort of do them in shifts! ::::LOL::::
Joey and Beth and their 4 were here. Gifts shredded open and paper and boxes everywhere except the trash can! The big hit with that brood was their play dough sets. They are all very creative so that worked for them.
Next set to arrive this evening for about 2 hours, they will be hitting the road to go to the son in laws family. They are all boys and I mean all BOYZ! in a big way! Trucks, Hot Wheels, that sort of stuff is the hit of the day.
Friday another batch of boys, but they are born of two teachers. So it is games like Monopoly, Scrabble, Clue and the like. Anything that you have to use your noodle with is acceptable there.
Actually Christmas is just the hubby and myself. Everyone will be with their in laws or creating their own traditions in their households. So Christmas day is always very cozy and relaxed here. I love that! The insanity is already behind us and we begin the *clean up* process!

Message: Deb, speaking of presents under the tree - My hubby loses his keys all the time... at least 2x weekly.
Sooooooo, while the kids were out looking for a Christmas gift for him we found one of those 'lost key thingys'. You whistle and it gives off this high pitched beep. Well, the kids have it all wrapped up, under the tree, ready to go. Guess what else sets it off? A certain pitch when Cory's squaks, Evans laughter and the theme to M*A*S*H. LOLOL You should seeee the look on my hubbies face. The first time it happened he came into the bedroom and said "something under the tree is sending out an SOS." LOL We still haven't told him what it is, he probably knows, but is playing along for the kids' sake. LOL

Message: OMG - that is priceless. You should video tape your "tree" screaching and send it to Funniest Home Videos.
