Subject: QVC and NGF
Message: I am curious - is tere some kind of issue between QVC and NGF? Q is how I first heard of this, along with some other beauty products. But now I read here today that you are all trying to figure out how to mention NGF and not get kicked off Q's forum. Can anyone fill me in? TIA!

Message: Hi Kylie,
Yes, there is some kind of issue between Q and NGF.
Barb, Karen and I had our user names blocked after posting about NGF over there. Everytime we post about that product, the thread get's pulled. There are also some Q posters who just seem heck bent on jumping on us when we do talk about the product.
Every so often someone new will ask for suggestions for a good cream or nail care item, and if we should mention NGF, we are accused of starting the thread to be able to tout this product, etc. We've been referred to as a cult following amont other things.
Now, all that said - Q has a business to run and we can all completely understand their position on not wanting a non-Q product discussed, however, there are many non-Q products discussed and they never run into the problems we have. Personally I think that so many women were posting about their unhappiness with ProStrong and TIPS, and touting NGF, that Q became concerned enough to 'bannish' us and any thread regarding this product. I wish I knew how they determined WHICH of us would lose our user names, as it seems only to be Karen, Barb and I, even though other ladies repeatedly post about. Anyway - Barb allows us to use her forum as a gathering place to chat about the product, or anything else we want. I like it here!
Disclaimer - Barb has a heavy southern accent... she calls it a drawl... just ignore her... pretend you can understand what she's saying and we'll be okay.

Message: That seems palin wrong! The Q forums discuss all kinds of non-Q products. Very strange; but thanks for the reply. BTW, where in So Cal are you?

Message: Now, Moi, we should not make disparaging remarks about
southern accents when you and I are surrounded by of one of
the most distinctive southern accents you can hear. After all,
Southern California is famous for our sophisticated idioms, such
as :
Like, wow, dude, babe, awesome, gnarly, you guys, and did I
forget to mention, like, how we, like, use the word like, like
every minute, man?
Of course, I presume that neither you nor I speak anything but
the King's or Queen's English, despite being bombarded by
surfer/valley lingo. Just blame it on the sun beating on people's
brains here!
Kylie, welcome aboard. I'm GemJill on the Q boards.

Message: Hi back to both of you! I am not as familiar with the Inland Empire, but go through there a bit. I lived in nearly every town of Orange County before I moved up north (yuk), and I also used to like the South Bay (Manhatten, Redondo and Hermosa). I am now an "old Llady", but still have the surfer talk deeply embedded in me! My daughter just adores it down there and hopes we can move back down someday.

Message: Hi Ladies, I am getting ready to go out to Bible Study and did a little scanning of the boards. And again - all the NGF replies are gone but the nail strengthening thread is back at the top. That is just sad. I don't think that they realize that I am as stubborn as they are.....lol

Message: Do you really think it's someone at the Q doing that? I mean, I know ultimately, someone there has to actually remove the posts. But I can't imagine they would take the time to search posts about NGF when there are soooo many other posts about other products and websites ARE posted... Personally, I think it's one or a few people who have issues and can't resist clicking "advise" every time the subject comes up.

Message: I obviously don't know a lot about this situation, but I would tend to agree with you, Shay. I am sure it is one or more individuals. There are other products, like Green Cream, that would be just as "threatening" to some Q lines, and those don't seem to get cut.

Message: Exactly, Kylie. How many times have you seen websites (and often discount codes) posted for Sephora, Drugtore, Beauty, SkinWest, Ulta, Yazmo, Crown Brush. The list goes on and on...

Message: I think it's someone who has nothing better to do than to troll the boards looking for things to report. I don't think it's a Q employee doing it, but rather a reader/poster clicking that advise button, bringing it to the attention of the powers that be. However, I have seen no other product or thread have the problem we have so, based on all of this I still think Q is feeling more concerned about NGF than the other products. Just my humble opinion.
