Subject: Just ordered my first kit!
Message: Hi ladies -- I discovered this through QVC like a lot of you and I am praying this gets me through the damage I have done to my nails removing my acrylics. One question I have is how long will the buffer last before you need to replace it (on average)? I ordered the whole kit. I hope it doesn't take to long to reach me; I am on the west coast. Thanks!

Message: Hi Kylie
After every use of the buffer, wipe it down with a damp cloth and it will last for quite some time. Unless you buff with harsh strokes, it will wear the leather. Use gentle soft strokes and let the abrasive in the Buffing Cream do the "heavy lifting". The order went out priority so hopefully no more than 3 days for delivery. Ruth, Moi, usually receives hers in that time and she is in southern California.

Message: Thank you, Barbara! I can't wait to try this. I have almost no nails on the beds right now because I over-filed trying to remove the acrylic. But I want to let the new growth have every chance to be better than my "old" nails.

Message: Hi Kylie!
I'm in So Cal, so even though Barb and cheryl hate to admit it, I too am a Southern gal! What part of CA are you in?
Since you described your nails as in such bad shape I would recommend you hold off on using the buffing cream for a few weeks, maybe the first month. If you do decide to use it, try working it in with your fingertip rather than the buffer. It's much more gentile that way and you'll have better control over the whole situation. If I were you, and I WAS you, I would just use the NGF itself for the 30 days.
The product is terrific, and so are all the ladies here on the board! Good luck and please please keep us posted!

Message: Hi, Moi! I am from So Cal, my mom was from Tennessee, and I lived there for a while, too. So I guess I am an honorary "Southerner", too. LOL I am now in Sacramento (hate it), but my husband and I hope to return to So Cal when we can make it happen. We go down there frequently. What area are you in? And, yes, you're right - - I will only be using the NGF cream for a while until I have nails again. I am sure it will be months.

Message: Welcome Kylie. I think you will enjoy the NGF - it makes my cuticles look almost real again. I have a really bad habit of picking them. We hope you enjoy it here. This is a great group of ladies.

Message: Thanks! The one thing I can say for acrylics is that they finally let me "grow out" my cuticles. I had always clipped mine and couldn't get out of the endless cycle. Now, even though they are a bit large, at least they are now smooth and natural.

Message: Kylie whatever else you may or may not do, DO NOT cut your cuticles. Just gently push them back with your fingertip while applying the growth formula. Those cuticles are there for a reason. You are only inviting the possibility of infections. Consider them your little bumper guards to protect the *rim* of the nails.

Message: I won't even "push" them anymore! How do you feel about buffing them gently with a smoother made for this? Just to get rid of any stragglers? And thanks for all the help!

Message: Welcome aboard, Kylie! Listen.... when I massage my nails I do strokes from the tip back towards the cuticle and some circular ones as well. Somehow that conditions the cuticles and they aren't an issue at all, sort of go back naturally. My dermatologist even remarked at how healthy my nails looked considering I'd only had the acryilcs off for 5 months.

Message: Thanks _ that's what I would like to happen - just let them stay in a fairly natural, but healthy, state. I am surprised everyone's nails are in such bad shape after the acrylics. I thought mine were only because I stupidly removed them myself instead of having a pro do it.
