Subject: Rainy Day in Georgia
Message: Barbara - did ya'll get any of this "stuff". It is definately cold and raining here in Newnan. Hubby said that the airport was a mess. They de-iced planes all night. The roads aren't bad though - at least not where we live and nothing is closed in Coweta County. BRRRRRRRR! I do hate this winter time stuff.

Message: Hi Deb,
We are getting the cold rain down here but thank God we are not getting ice. May be when the *sun*, (and I use that term loosely today) goes down, it will begin to ice up...The roadways are all clear of ice but down here it doesn't make any difference. Wet, dry, icy, whatever, the drivers are horrid! Our insurance rated almost doubled when we moved here from Atlanta. Yep! It is that bad..... It's like playing dodge ball and bumper cars combined into one lethal game here! I know the congestion is horrid in Atlanta, but I will take their many over these few any day! And that is not a joke. Boy Glen Burns missed it again. What has gotten into him. He used to be great. Any more Paul Osmond is so much better at getting it right. My favorite all time greatest, most fun to watch weather man was LLoyd Lindsey Young. Man he made the weather reports fun, regardless of the conditions. I can't remember if he was with WOR or WGN though. (Senior Moment***Please excuse!**)
Stay warm and be careful on the highways when you're out there.

Message: I have a feeling the only "sun" I will be seeing today is the one I gave birth to.....LOL It is pouring here - but the temp is just a tad above freezing - so thank the Good Lord - NO ICE. Now, like you said - tonight might be a different story.
Please keep all those who commute and all those who work out in the elements in your thought and prayers during this horrid winter season.
This cold AND rain sure reaks havoc on my rheumatoid. Oh my bones!!!

Message: Oh, I see how you are! Go ahead, heap on the abuse. I can take it. But please, save some noodles for the pot of chicken noodle soup I'm making. Nothing beats a pot of chicken soup on the stove with these arctic conditions we're enduring here!
