Subject: Beauty Junkies Unite!!

Yep - I like Clientele, too. But I only use a few of her products. One of my favorites is her Lotus Renewal Wash w/sponge. I use this every morning in the shower. I also use the Lotus firming serum. It is a little on the pricey side - but one bottle, using one pump each morning, has lasted me over 9 months and I am still using it. Let's see - that comes out to less than 20 cents a day.........lol

Lynnie - I have tried a couple of Nick's products and just didn't care for it. I have 2 cans of the flocker that I would be happy to send to you if you want it. One can I used a couple of times and the other can is untouched. Just click on my name and email me.

I seem to be giving a lot of philosophy and BE for gifts this year.

Jill - I get the best coverage with my BE when I use the Kabuki brush. The flawless face brush is good, but that Kabuki is great. I think I got it in a kit of some sort - I know I didn't pay full price for it.

Have you BE ladies heard of colorfulsprinkles.com?
I learned about her on the ::coughQcough:: boards. She sells samples of the BE for 3.75. The thing is, BE goes so far that the samples are plenty! She also sells full size and I believe it's a bit cheaper. If you order from her and type in shipbe in the promo box the shipping is free. I was very happy with the samples I got. I asked her how she does it and she gets BE from whereever,QVC, BE etc, then each sample gets a certain amount.... she says she uses a clean spoon for each order she does and the jars are sterizlized. Another thing she does is you can buy BE pots. $5 for 10 pots. That was wonderful for me because I mix my BE colors and couldn't find a good way to store them. AND, when you buy the eyeshadow size pots, they still have a tiny amount of the original BE color in them so you get a '1 time' sample that way too.
Now, she swears she doesnt use the product for personal use, only for making samples out of so it should be completely sterile, etc. You'd have to be willing to trust her on that but she has lot's of loyal fans/customers - I am one of them.
She also sells the brushes, kits, etc at a discount.
Even if you're not into samples, free shipping on full size stuff is great too!
Shipping was very fast, and her customer service was great!

I have heard a lot of good things about colorfulsprinkles. The extra pots would be good - as I love playing mad scientist with all my BE stuff. And a little hint - that little scoop that comes with the philosophy vitamin c powder is perfect for scooping out the BE - especially if you just want to try it and see what you get. You don't end up wasting alot of the BE. I never throw those little scoops away and even my mom and my sister save me theirs.......lol

Hi Deb,
I wish I knew what all of this stuff actually is, and better still what it does. I have never worn makeup. Growing up on the beach, make up was kind of pointless, I was always in the water. When I finally became interested enough in the make up, I was so totally inept, it looked like a clown face regardless of what I used, *UGLY CLOWN!* Now I have to sit idly by and just sort of watch it all happen. I wish I could participate. It all sounds like so much fun.

I'm not sure which scoops you're talking about, since I've never used the philosophy VE. However, several months ago I was in a Bath & Body Works and they have those tiny little spoon/scoops for giving samples to customers. I asked the clerk if they sold them, or where they get them and told her why I was interested and she gave me a handful. That was sweet and you're right - they work GREAT!

Barb - I'm sorry about that. I forget that not everyone knows what all these things are. We should make a list and post it and have people add to it. BE is Bare Escentuals. It's a makeup line. Mineral makeup, pretty easy on the skin. I love it, will never go back to regular pressed makeup. It lasts forever unless you drop it, then it lasts about 30 seconds. LOL
Philosophy is a line of skin care items. They also have fragrances. I've never tried the skin care products.

Believe it or not - I never wore makeup growing up. But, during my Marine Corps boot camp era - make up was required. Now, keep in mind - that was twenty something years ago. And, anytime that we were in uniform, it was a required part of the uniform. I am not sure that it is anymore, but back then it was. And, while my kids were growing up and we were struggling to raise a family, I never spent much money on make up and skin care. It wasn't until about 3 or 4 years ago that I happened upon a philosophy show on the Q - hence, a beauty junkie was born!!! Now, I find it a vital part of my day to take care of my skin and myself. I now look forward to my Sunday Gingerbread man scrub or my Saturday night facial and my nightly rub fest with NGF!!!! I feel that I took are of so many people for so many years - its now time to take care of me.

Want to try the Gingerbread man scrub? I will be glad to send you some of mine - trust me - I have plenty!!!!

i'll have to go check out the sprinkles site, moi. i own enough BE eye shadow for a couple of decades of use though! i've used the BE mineral foundation for a few years now and just started having an oily problem with it. the older i get, the more "matte" stuff i need. i don't need to glow-i do fine on my own! i thought this oil was supposed to start drying up as i got older! i really do like the philosophy face care line. purity is the best cleanser. smells so clean. feels like i'm doing something good for my face-kind of like my nails and NGF! don't care for philosophy fragrances though-turn sour on me. i'm a dolce&gabanna light blue fan forever. guess i'm a "junkie" too!

Cheryl - I am the queen of oily skin. My best kept beauty secret is a little product by philosophy. It's called The Present - it's a liquid to powder type product for topical shine reduction. It's NOT the clean makeup. I do my moisturizing first with my HIAJ "potion" and then I put on this topical shine reduces. I let it set for just a few seconds and then I put on my primer (I use Silksation by Clientele). I do a few things like put on my deo, etc while that "dries" and then I proceed with my BE. I have NO shiny break through all day long. It's not real expensive and last a long, long time. You just need a couple drops literally. And I just use it on my T-zone area - where I seem to get oily the most. I order it from drugstore.com or get it at Sephora.

I agree with you totally - Purity is the best cleanser there is. I keep the big 32oz pump on my vanity. And, I think I have enough BE the last several people several lifetimes. Why do I order more??????

Cheryl I would have never guessed you even wear make up. You are obviously expert with the application, from your pictures you sent to me. You look totally natural. That is the way make up should be worn. So that you can not even tell it is there.
The women around Vidalia all go to the Merel Norman and they all look like they were stamped out of the same sheet of cookie dough. Bright red lips, too much rouge, pasty looking skin. UG!!!! Nothing at all, would be so much more attractive than that look. They all have different eye colors, hair, skin tones yet! COOKIE CUTTER!
