Subject: How are your Christmas nails doing?
Message: How is everyone coming on their Christmas nails?
Mine have fully recovered now and I hope I don't screw up and break any of them before Christmas gets here!

Message: You know I'm only 2 weeks into the deal, Barbara, but that's my goal - Christmas baby tips! They ARE shiny, smooth and healthy, though. I'm happy with that. When I went for a facial this week, my gal couldn't get over how nice they look and feel to the touch. My acrylics have been off since August and all the telltale damage is gone. The NGF took me that one step further.

Message: Hey girls!
I haven't posted in a few days. Been busy with last minute stuff before I head south for Christmas.
My nails are continuing to stregnthen. And although they are not quite as long as I wanted them to be in time for Christmas, I am yet glad that they are making progress. Lately I've been noticing that as they are growing out they are lifing a bit at the top of my nailbeds. Another issue from those stupid acrylics. But I've folllowed enough posts around here to know that they will eventually grow out properly. I never paid attention to this growing out process in the past when I soaked off acrylics.
Anyway girls, I hope that all of your Christmas shopping is done, and you have time to really soak in the festivities and the beauty of the season, and not be so frazzled.
Viva la Christmas nails!
-Joy

Message: Mine look beautiful. They are long and most of the uneven parts caused by the acrylics are mostly at the tips now. We had only anti-bacteria hand soaps in the house, so today I bought moisturing hand soap and already I can see a difference! And I use my shea butter hand cream after I wash my hands.

Message: i could really see and feel the difference when i started using the moisturizing soap too. i just received some shea butter lotion in a trial size today. the pure shea butter is good for sleeping, but i find it a bit thick for the day!

Message: I ma having fun with my rubbing, rubbing, rubbing. You all know by reading the posts here that I am a beauty product junkie - and I like spending "me" time. My husband asked me last night - "what is that stuff you put on your hands every night?" I usually apply it at night right before I go to bed - as he is getting ready for work (he works 3rd shift). It wouldn't suprise me if he is sneaking a rub or two while I am at work :o)
As for my nails and cuticles - they are looking better. I don't pick as much anymore - but when I do, I do a really good job. I am still getting used to the file - I know Barbara - it's my hard headedness kicking in. I think I am just filing wrong because I am getting these cracks right down on the side of the nail where the tip should grow out - make sense? They snag and before I know it - the whole tip is gone...UGH!!! So, I have vowed not to file for a while and see if that helps. I may just have to make a trip to Vidalia and get a hands on lesson - it's not that far!!!!

Message: Grace and Cheryl - same here with the antibacterial soaps. Much better now that I'm not using them. I found a cheap holiday 3-in-1 (shower gel, moisturizer, shampoo) soap in Gingerbread scent - $3.99 for 32 oz! I filled all the pumps here and love the smell. Moisturizing shower gels can be more economical and more moisturizing.
Deb - I do it at night too and I find it very relaxing as well! In fact, it makes me downright sleepy.
