Subject: New Years Eve!
Message: What do you do for your New Years Eve Celebration?
We stay in and watch the "Ball Drop" from NY City, while watching the "Peach Drop" from Atlanta.
We like to see whos device is more accurate. We have an atomic clock so we like to see if their timing is even close.
NY usually gets it closer than Atlanta, but they have been at this a lot longer than Atlanta has!

Message: Hi Barb. Like you, my husband and I just stay home on New Years Eve. New Years is his birthday. He usually works the Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) in order to give the younger guys the time to spend with their family - or party hardy on New Years Eve. I am usually sitting here watching the New Year come in while I listen to him snore in his lounge chair. I will say though that the older I get the more I ask myself "Where in the heck did the year go and how did it pass so quickly."

Message: That's about what I like to do New Year's Eve too, Barb. It's a great night to kick back at home after the hubbub of Christmas. I'm not into fighting crowds for dinner reservations or being on the road with all the party animals. This year will be special because I met a wonderful guy in Spring. I may pick up some lobster tails to cook for dinner and we can open a bottle of wine and wait for our New Year's kiss.

Message: Yep - we are the stay at home type here. After almost 25 years of marriage, we are usually snoring at the stroke of midnight - all snuggled up under the covers - together and safe and sound. Sometimes we have the grandkids over, so the parents can party - but they always party at a home and not a bar. We just don't tolerate that drinking and driving. I hope it's a fun night for all of you, whatever your plans are. I hope you ring in the New Year surrounded by the ones you love.

Message: About a thousand years ago, when we were young, it was our tradition to make certain we were gigging on New Years Eve. We thought that if we were starting out the New Year working we would be prosperous and working through out the year.
That came to an abrupt halt when we did 4 shows in Atlanta one new years eve and the promoter stiffed us. We sat on the loading dock of the Fox Theater til 4 am, went back to the warehouse on Kelton Drive in Stone Mountain, unloaded the trucks, paid the crew so they wouldn't be without money New Years day, went home and made a new pact that we would never work on New Years Eve again! So we don't!!! LOL
