Subject: More on Karen's puppy!
Message: Karen,
The previous thread about your puppy had reached the
maximum number of posts. So I just wanted to add my best
wishes for a happy birthday and congratulations on adding Remy
to your family. I am impressed that he is such a good boy at a
very young age. Obviously he felt comfortable right away with
you and your home. Kisses to him for me!

Message: Karen, according to cajun dialect there is a word that means "doll" but the spelling that I have found is "catin" vs catain. Since your dear puppy sounds like such a doll I think he fits the bill perfectly!

Message: Jill I will give him kisses for you, and Margo, thank you for looking that up for me. I may be spelling it wrong, but that's what I meant for it to be, so I was close!!! LOL
He is really a good dog, and right now he is sleeping on the comforters on the couch under a beach towel!! He is so black, and has such black eyes, you can't tell if they are opened or closed. If I get a picture of him, my neighbor took some today, I will post one.

Message: There is really something special about animal lovers. I had dogs and cats when the kids were young, now I only have 2 Siamese cats. They are a lot less work and more self sufficient. Congrats on your new puppy!

Message: Karen and All,
Karen that is a wonderful birthday/Christmas present. There is nothing in the world sweeter than animals, children, and old people. I think it must have something to do with them needing us so much, but we need them in our lives just as much. My husband is the kind that will not even kill a bug. Over the years we have taken in all kinds of critters. Actually only paid money for one, a little Yorkie, that was my Christmas present about 23 years ago. She lived to be almost 14 and was a little delight. We are now down to two inside cats. Had three, but our old cat had to be put to sleep in early September. We have two outside cats who will probably become inside cats soon, if we can get our inside cats to accept them. We have nursed baby birds back to health and over the years I have raised 16 wild pigeons (not all at one time) that my husband had saved from deaths door. Best darn birds, but a lot of work when you raise them from babies. The sad part is they fly off when they get to a certain age and join up with others. We have had a few that would come back occasionally for a brief visit. When I say I have my hands in water a lot, I really mean a lot, so the NGF is really working for me. After raising and caring for about the third group of two baby pigeons I told my husband that if he was going to bring a stray anything home to make sure it had two legs and knew how to cook and clean because at my age I am wearing out. Honestly though, I have enjoyed every critter that comes our way.
The last stray cat my husband brought home is really a dog in a cat costume. He is the most loving cat we have and now at the age of 2 tops out at about 18 pounds. This silly cat can even carry on a conversation with you. Unfortunately I don't always understand what he is saying. With the kids grown and the grandkids grown these little friends of ours really fill a void. With lovable critters and Barb and her NGF what more could we ask for. So to all you animal lovers, a big Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.

Message: Thank you Lorraine and June. Pets are the best and sometimes cats do act like dogs. I just love dogs and cats, and I am so happy with my little family. Everyone is getting along so well, and I couldn't be happier.!!
