Subject: Barb's Granddaughter
Message: Hey Barb,
Sorry to hear about your baby! As you know, my little Joey was very sick. Whatever it was he had, they told him it attacked his lungs and from now on anytime he get's a cold or flu, it will hit him in the lungs worse of all. They also told my daughter that if the baby get's it (he's just a couple months old) they will put him in the hosptial immediately. Whatever it is that's going around is very nasty. Give her lot's of hugs and love her til she can't stand it no more!
Hugs from us all!

Message: Oh no, Barb, I recently wrote something to you re your son and said I knew you would always be there in a pinch to help with your granddaughter. You didn't have to go and PROVE it! I hope she is on the mend soon and you have caretaker's immunities.
Moi - In the news here tonight they said that RSV is going around. I bet that's the one you're talking about and it is NASTY. It also makes them proned to asthma and getting it again when it's going around. About 10 years ago, we attended a Christmas party whereby someone brought a sick child with it. EVERY kid in the family caught it and it really messed up the holiday. I'm hoping that the baby doesn't get it, but your daughter will at least know enough to act on it fast.

Message: Moi and Barb, I hope your grandchildren are feeling better, and all will be fine by Christmas. It's so awful for the kids when they are sick on Christmas day!!!! They want to be happy and excited, but they feel so awful and get really cranky because they can't enjoy themselves because they are sick. Poor little kids!

Message: How are all the grandbabies today? Better, I hope. All of you baby-rockers and caretakers should go out and get yourself some of that Airborne. Teachers swear by it.

Great Stuff That AIRBORNE
And the baby is fine tonight. Her fever broke this morning at about 4:30 and she has become her usual "Nana can we????????" self! Oh there is a reason God gave the young to the young! Love them chillin' but when I'm tired, I'm tired! Know what I mean Vern?

Message: Moi,
I used to see Airborne at Trader Joe's - I presume you may have
one near you.
I didn't check into the forum until late today - I am sorry I
missed all the news about under-the-weather kiddies. I hope
each of your little ones are on the mend.

Message: Barbara - that's GREAT! If her temp didn't go back up this afternoon, she's probably alllllll better. You are so right about God not giving us children in our later years. I figured that one out when I had my last child at 40. I felt like a young thing till I was chasing a toddler a couple years later! BTW, I love the name Cierra. So feminine and melodic!
Moi - I'm sure you can get that Airborne at almost any pharmacy. I get it at my grocery store. Oh, pilots and flight attendants use it regularly as well - all those recirculated cooties in the air.
