How is everyones Xmas shopping coming along? I'm doing pretty good..of course the hard one is my Dad. I live in Wa state and my family lives in NY..I fly to NY for Xmas every year..so my Mom keeps telling me to wait until I get to NY so we can go shopping together..but the thought of going to a Mall in NY a few days before Xmas...SCARES me! Decisions...Decisions....

Hey Karen..my parents are in Queens. They refuse to leave! I left NY in 1991..but visit several times a year! I love NY..but it can be a tough place for shopping during the holiday season!

Denise - Probably about half the Xmas shopping I do is done online. So many places offer free shipping, plus maybe you don't want to pay NY state tax! You could shop online for your father and ship it to your mother to stash till you get there. Maybe your Mom can come up with an idea.

This is the first year in over 40+ years I have not been finished with my shopping by now!

Denise, I don't go to NYC too much. Too fast and furious for me, one of the country people who live up here in the sticks (as our present Governor's wife referred to the capital region). Yes, he wants to run for President, YUCK!!!
I like where I live, except for the weather, mostly this time of the year!! There are many NYers here on this forum!!

My cousin used to live in Rome, NY...now she lives in Chester. I will be in Chester for Xmas day! I don't think you live in the sticks! I am sure it is very Cosmo..up there!
