Subject: As You Age...
Message: I'm noticing subtle little changes in the way I feel. For example, the summer doesn't seem as hot to me and the winters are always colder. Sometimes in the middle of the day I have to hop into bed and cover up just to 'thaw' out my hands and feet! Last night I sat with a heating pad over my feet AND a fleece blanket over me. I'm in Southern CA folks.... it get's chilly here but I don't know... is it just me or is it REALLY becoming an Arctic getaway here.

Talk to your doc and have a blood work done. It sounds like you may be anemic. I am slighly anemic, and my doctor encouraged me to eat more "greens" and get a good iron supplement (although certain iron supplements have a tendancy to cause constipation--gross!). HTH

Message: LOL My kids are still 'coming to' this morning so I have time to post for a bit. I turn on the computer, check the mail, check this board - if I have time I check Q then I'm putting in my time as Teacher :)

Message: Moi - I would have your doctor check that out. Like Joy said, you could be anemic. There is also a circulatory condition called Raynaud's Syndrome whereby circulation to hands and feet isn't what it used to be from spasms or constriction. That one can either exist with another medical condition or stand on it's own (very common) and it's treatable.
Speaking of being cold, here in NY I keep my house probably overly warm and will be paying for that dearly this year. But I hate going to friends' homes who have the thermostat set in the 60's. I come home with a cold butt that won't thaw for hours! The cold butt is no fun either.

Message: Moi, and all of the California and southern ladies. I know that you get cold days, and in the south, y'all even get ice storms (been in 2 in Texas/Louisiana area). However, there is nothing like the Great Northeast!!!! There have been days so cold that when you inhale, your nostrils close shut! It's too cold here, and we don't get nice weather until June, sometimes July and it only lasts until Labor Day. Sometimes we get some nice fall weather, but we haven't had REALLY HOT weather here anymore.

Message: Cheryl, I always ask myself why I live here. I'm a good "hibernater" too. I love spring and when I start to see the tulips come up I'm SOOOOOOOOO happy!!!! April, May and June here have been so cold the last few years. Sure, we get a warm streak, but it always goes back down. I NEED MY WINDOWS OPEN!!!!

We were there almost 6 years and loved it. Think my feet freeze this time of year and wont thaw til spring, but I still dont like summer. After all down here "we have air that you can wear!"

Message: Margo, do you know where Farmerville is? My folks owned a huge piece of property atop a hill in Farmerville. You could see clear across the valley and into Arkansas. Most beautiful site you'll ever see.
