 Subject: Phone Call I received today!

I guess I have become overly suspicious since the things that happened on the QVC BB. Today I received a phone call from a woman wanting to know the ingredients of the product. Nothing strange there right. So I gave her the ingredients list. Her next question was, "What make your formula actually work?" I said I would not give her that particular information. She said, "My husband is a chemist!"
My mind went into to over drive!
Is this woman one of QVC's employees? If so are they fixing to try to reproduce the formula? I am just a bit on edge about that call, and if it was just an innocent call and she wanted to test the formula, why did she just not place an order for the small jar to try it out. If they start selling something that "promotes growth for natural nails" on the QVC shows, will someone please let me know asap!?!

I doubt it would be a Q employee, it probably is one of those people who just try to pick everything apart. You have never kept the ingredients a secret..so it is strange..someone would call you. Dont fret-we will let you know of any strange new nail products popping up!

I am sure it is more than likly one of those women over there, that like to stir up trouble. The line about her husband being a chemist is probably like someone saying my husband is a lawyer...pure intimidation tactics! Besides...us NGF chicks know who the Original is!

We do not use caller ID on our business lines. I have no idea who she was. It just initially scared the bejeebers out of me. I would hate to see all of our hard work get fulshed. Especially by Q. What a rub that would be! I too hope Oprah calls! LOLOLOL or at the very least Gail..

Barbara - I confess I was curious about the ingredients when it got it and Googled the first two. The lanoline is derived from sheep's hides, right? - very rich, pure, penetrating and binding. That second ingredient has some anti-fungal properties, a great ingredient for a nail product! Your NGF reminds me of something I would buy from a neat please in Canada called LUSH. Their goodies smell natural like yours and their ingredients are natural and organic, but intensive. Love that place!
Q couldn't do a darned thing to you. You hold your trademark and copyright. IF they were interested in you, it would be as a rep for them. Maybe everyone is tired of the T.I.P.S. lady!

Actually lanolin is pressed from the wool during the sheering process before it is spun into wool fabric. It is a natural by product. It is literally their rain coat.

Yes that is correct.
The wintergreen is a gentle pain medication and controls in some small measure, inflammation. Great for those picked over cuticles.

The name could not be trademarked because it is so "Generic". That cost plenty to learn.
We are copyright protected by the very nature of the copyrights laws. We have an established, provable time line on the product and the R&D so that is not at issue. I'm just crazy! And paranoid! and unfortunately since the Q incidents, I am very skeptical of poking and prodding.
I don't mind anyone knowing the ingredients. That really is not the issue at all. It was more her tone and the inflection in her voice that made those little hairs on the back of my neck raise up!up!
