Subject: Christmas Light Show
Message: Nothing about nails - just a neat site. Google (I just love Google) "Christmas Light Show" and watch the video. Several sites to choose from. Turn your speakers up. Supposedly this is real and the man has posted the instructions on how he achieved this spectacular display. One of the sites explains it. He must have a lot of money and a lot of time on his hands. I still have my doubts, but I bet Barb could certainly tell us if this is real or computerized. My grandson's teacher must have been impressed. He/she showed it to the class yesterday. I think the song is by the Transylvania Orchestra or something like that. In my old age these important things just do not stay with me. <grin> Anyway, take a look.

Message: Good morning June. I went to http://www.christmaslightshow.com
I suppose their server is too busy to take the load of traffic right now. I will try again off and on all day. I will be really interested to see this display.
It keeps coming up with a "Failure to Connect to Server" notice. So like I say, I assume they are just overloaded with onlookers right now.
Thank you for sharing that with us though. I intend to get to see it! weather it is now or when the mad rush is over! Have a great day, and we will see you here often I hope.

Message: Pretty dang cool! Got it Cheryl thanks, you are my computer guru while my hubby is out! I know nothing except how to run the appliance. I just want toast from my toaster, don't try to make me fix the dang thing! I just want the computer to show me what it has, don't send me out to find the newest, latest, biggest plug-in on earth, and then expect me to set it up and actually understand the jargon!
THANK YOU! THAT WAS PLUG AND PLAY, as they say!

Message: Hi June,
That is just about the coolest lighting exhibition I have ever seen without a stage proper.
What is going on is pretty intricate and fairly simple at the same time, if you know what you're doing. The console that runs the lighting program, yes program, is in itself a very intricate layout of decisions. Which lights do you want to show at what time. So it is programmed into the console. Or the lighting board. Probably for the guy to do this, the most difficult part was setting up the "stage" for the presentation. Putting everything in its proper place. He is obviously a Lighting Engineer or LT. The music at that point is purely incidental. Once you set up the lights, select the music, work out the sequence of events and put that into the boards system, it is a matter of "flipping it on at night". Don't get me wrong, there is not really anything there that just anyone off the streets could do. Like I said this guy is pure genius. But obviously this is not just what he does, it is what he is. Kind of like my hubby IS an Audio Engineer, this man IS a Lighting Engineer. The boards used to be strictly analog, you couldn't get those effects, that well timed out, and you could not consistently execute it with that degree of perfection. This is a real treat to watch. I have it saved on my computer. THANK YOU!

Message: June - thanks for sharing! This was fabulous and it's REAL. When I did a search on it in Google, one of the links went took me snopes.com, which is the site that lets you know if something is an urban legend or hoax. If something is going on, Snopes is up on it. They explain how he did it and contacted him. To hear the music you have to set your car radio to a certain frequency. Can you imagine the traffic in that neighborhood? That site also has a link to another show he has set to Jingle Bells. Thanks again!
Moi - I loved the music too.
Barbara - try again. Something tells me that is probably the most viewed video of the day and some servers are clogged.
