Wow. My 30 days are up and I am absolutely amazed, thrilled and can't keep my eyes off my nails! They have NEVER looked this good. I have terribly dry cuticles during the winter so I'll probably continue to use the NGF twice a day. Thanks for such a fabulous product!!!

i know the feeling! i look at them and i am amazed at how pink and healthy they are. they were so short and bitten and disfigured from all those decades of gnawing that i never thought they would ever grow this healthy. it's great to be amazed by them everyday. from the time i was a teenager on, i wanted pretty nails and just couldn't break the habit. i actually have dreams where i am young and biting them again, wake up, and have such a sense of relief when i see it isn't true! biting them was such a huge part of my life for so long. i know it sounds silly, but nail biters know what i mean. i guess i'm finally worth having nice nails!!

Hi Sue,
My 30 days is up on Monday. This product has been truly a Godsend for my nails, and for the joy of making the acquaintance of all my new found comrades on the forum.
Isn't it funny how when you first read on the website about actually rubbing the product in for 1 minute per day, you thought, "yeah right, what the heck am I going to sit there doing that for?" But, when you get the product home and follow the directions, the results are all there! I was the biggest cynic(sp), but not now...
I couldn't be more satisfied.

Sue, Cheryl and Joy, I'm just a few weeks past you, and it is amazing how much better my nails are!!!! They are all the same length, the same shape, and there has been no breakage or damage of any kind in those few weeks! 7 Weeks seems like such a short period of time too.

I am jealous...it has been probably coose to 5 weeks and my nails have just all broke again. I did wear acrylics for 12 years and let them grow out for 3 weeks before removing them, I probably still have 4-5 weeks of growing out before all the dremeled nail is gone, but they are good for a day or two and then break again. Good news is they still have white tips no matter how short and they are short. I am hoping to make it through the holidays without running to the nail salon.

not to discourage you by any means, but i've been at this 2 years now, that's why i have such teriffic results. mine were weak and transparent for months before they all started to grow uniformly, evenly, without ridges, and became flexible again. don't be so hard on yourself. i only tried acrylics for about 2 years off and on and mine were badly damaged. twelve years is an eternity when it comes to the health of your natural nail. your nails will be healthy again. just have patience. it took a long time to get them in that shape and i know months seem like an eternity, but you will turn the corner.

CAC, do not submit yourself to the compulstion to go to the nail salon. PLEASE just keep rubbing the NGF, you won't be sorry!!! You will be sorry if you go back to the nail salon, and have the fake nails put back on and then have to start all over again with the NGF. Think of how much you are further ahead with your nails, and with the money you have saved not going to the nail salon.
RUB, RUB, RUB, twice a day one minute for each nail!!!

No two people are exactly alike. The 12 years of damage that was previously done to your nails just can't be repaired in an instant, but you already know all of that. Otherwise you would not have kept up your great efforts this long. You hang in there with consistent use of the growth formula and once the weak nails has completely grown out they will begin to amaze you too. Don't give up. I know it must be so tempting to run out and get that instant gratification, but that is just further insult to your injured nails. You can do this! When you feel the urge to run out to the salon, run to the computer for support from others that have been right where you are....You can do this! keep up the efforts! you can do this! keep up the efforts!

CAC, just so you know, mine are still very short. They are just cresting the tops of my fingertips now...so hang in there, I went through my share of acrylic damage. What you'll find with the NGF is that your nail starts to "seal" together, so the ridges from the dril actually bond...does that make sense? I can look at my nails right now and at the tips I can see layers of damage, part of the tip is see through, but they are much stronger now, so they are not as prone to the peeling.

CAC! Go get a facial. Pamper your hands in other ways with nice creams. Pick up a fashion mag and look at the models' hands - all natural, short or just one coat of light pink. Don't weaken and go to the nail parlor.
I just wrote some things I've learned about growing them out. Cheryl sums it up above - it doesn't happen overnight. That's just science. And 12 years is a long time. Once I started viewing growing new nails as doing something GOOD for myself, I didn't feel so deprived from my former treat of going to the nail tech. Good luck!!
