Message: I don't wear make up, never have. That is pretty obvious with the photo on our site. That is not to say I don't need it. I just never had the nack to apply it properly without looking like a side show freak!
Lines and wrinkles are my mile stones! I have earned every darn one of those beggers! LOL
We live out in the country and never see civilized, polite society since selling our home in Atlanta. We breed German Shepherds and they lick my face every single time I get close enough for them to get to it! I know that probably sounds gross and unhealthy, but I love these animals like they were our own children. So kisses from them are most welcome.
When we were on the road with the music industry, I never had time to do anything but shower and go again. Touring can be rough on the old bod!!!!
So long story short, I just am not much into the whole make up industry thing. AU NATURAL! Just Ivory soap and water is my routine! BOOOAAAARRRIIINNNNNGGGGG. But very low maintenance! LOL

Message: We went totally unnoticed. We just made them sound like their records! No body even knew we were there until the house lights went down and the stage lights went up! Totally anonymous!

Message: Barbara,
That list of performers could have been my list of all time favorites with the exception of Sound Garden, never heard of them. What an exciting life and a lot of great memories. That is what my husband and I are trying to have, a lot of great memories so we can sit back and rock and enjoy them all over again!!! And to the poster that was talking about the 50's. They have been the best years so far. I got married again at 52 after 15 years of being single and I married my soul mate so it is only getting better!!!

Barbara, you've led a fascinating life. I bet you have some stories that you could tell about being on tour with all those folks...

Message: Wow, Barbara, you accompanied some "heavies"! You could probably write a book. I recently bought a Queen DVD from Wembley Garden. I think Freddie had one of the best voices ever and his energy was effervescent. It was so sad to lose him.
As for your beauty regimen, I think you have that "scrubbed, healthy" look like Charlize Theron. You glow and look great. Now I know your secret - German Shepherd Slobber. (Don't send me a jar, though, OK?)

Message: My husband is an audio engineer. He designed and built the sound system from the ground up. Even down to the connectors on the wires.
Freddies voice, the absolute perfection of the group as musicians, phenomenal! Another group I dearly loved is Pink Floyd, Roger Waters was magnificent. And again what an inspired group of musicians.
But all in all it really was just a job. I am a vagabond at heart. Love the nomadic life style, but its difficult at best to raise children, keep them an 18 grown heathens under control on the road. But we do have lots of "war stories" and when we get together with old friends in the field there is a certain longing. But it really is hard on the body.
Being in the business for greater than 30 years, we did have the pleasure of some great times. After that many years its hard to sit down and even compile a list of tours. There really were so many.
