Morning ladies!
I've been on the phone with Karen this morning and she's got a lot of experience with wheelchair problems and how to work around the insurance companies. It might just be that I have a couple of options I hadn't considered because I have never had to do this before. I will find out about purchasing the wheelchair I aready have, used, not from the insurance co, but the company they rented it from.
Also, Karen and I looked through the web sites and there are A LOT of companies who sell wheelchairs, brand new, at a fraction of what that company had told me mine sold for new. The one I have, the insurance company would be billed $1,700 new, but if I bought it from them directly new as a cash paying non insurance customer it would be $800. That is why insurance rates are so high! grrrr!!!
Anyway, thank you allllll soooooooooo much for caring!!! I am truly in awe of this group of friends I have and what amazing people you are.
I am also grateful that I can ask for prayers, offer prayers, and speak of God without having to worry about offending anyone.
If anyone has any other ideas, please toss them out here!

Moi and Barbara, I just know we are going to get this accomplished because of all of these great ladies here, and their kindness and generous natures. We can speak about prayers and God, and caring for one another without any fear of being mocked or debated. It is people, as you all are, that has restored my faith in the "kindness of strangers", to quote Blanche DuBois! However, we may be strangers because of our physical distance from one another, but we are closer than family because we have chosen to be here with and for one another. You are all so awesome!

Two more blessings have been received today! I just heard we have a new total of $315.00! Steady as she goes! The course is set and the stars lead our way. We will not fall short, and the nay sayers can all take a flying leap! I hope they have as great a safety net as we are weaving here! Thanks Ladies! From the top of my heart. (My cup overflows and the bottom is occupied with all of the previous well wishes and blessings!)
