I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!My dad fell eariler today and broke his hip..I came home real quick to feed hubby and son.They do not know if surgery will be tonight or in the morning...we are waiting on the orthopedic surgeon. I do not know when I will be posting again so everyone have a safe Thanksgiving.

Lori, I am so sorry. Our love to you and your family. They will take good care of him. Try to be calm. Me Mum had hip replacement due to a fall and she recovered and went on for years! So hang tough!

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I will keep him in my prayers, as well as the rest of your family. Another "hang in there".
Hubby and I have started the Thanksgiving day preparations - making the stuffing, boiling the eggs for those deviled eggs, boiling the giblets for that giblet gravy. I have so, so much to be thankful for.

Oh, Lori! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad!
I sure hope everything goes well! You know, on a lighter side, I always found hospital food to be tastey! Hopefully they will have a goooood Thanksgiving dinner for him ;)

Lori, sorry to hear about your Dad's fall. My husband has had both his hips replaced and I have to agree with anonymous that doctors have gotten good at hip replacements. Good thoughts and prayers go to your Dad and family!

Add me to the list of people sending healing prayers your
family's way. A couple of Thanksgivings ago, we had to rush my
mom to the hospital. Everything worked out fine, but it's not
exactly how one expects to spend the holidays. But it's such a
comfort knowing that your loved one is in caring, capable hands.
So hang in there and we will be thinking of you.
