Subject: The Changing Seasons
Message: I love this time of year. We have some cold nights, warm days, warm night, cold days and the fronds on the palm trees start to turn a peekid color of yellow, followed by brown, then they drop on the ground. :::sighs:::: You don't want to send your kids to play in or on them though, as they have some nasty little pokey things. And you don't want to be standing under a palm tree when they let go of the fronds because you might get hurt. Oh, and they have been known to cause a flat tire. But other than that, it just such a glorious time of year. And you Easterners think you're the only ones with changing seasons ;)

Message: I like fall too Moi. The only problem for me is watching everything die, and the shorter days. Gives me the blues. But I love to see the trees change colors, so beautiful. You should see the mountains around here all speckled with the different trees and colors of leaves on them, absolutely breathtaking!

Message: Being a Southern California gal, you can imagine what an eye-
opener it was when I lived in New York for five years and
experienced my first change of seasons. I will say it was truly
breathtaking to go up to Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut,
etc. and see the leaves change color in person. I had only seen
photos - had never experienced it in its full glory. That was truly
one of my highlights of living in the east, along with drinking
that fresh apple cider on a brisk day. And don't even get me
started on what an idiot I made of myself when I saw my first
snowfall in the city!
When I lived in Los Angeles, there was always the running joke
that we had seasons: fire, floods, mudslides and drought. But
given that the rest of the country has had its share of wicked
weather, I think all of us have new definitions of how seasons
change!

That is a mouthful. Every where you look there is some other catastrophic condition going on!
