How funny you should mention this. The invention of the catapult is what my son decided he wanted to do his news report on. Remember me mentioning their assignment a couple weeks ago?
Granted it was supposed to be in the last 75-100 years but that's okay too. He's been looking online, drawing, reading and watching the History Channel. He's such a hoot!!!
He came to me one night and sat down all serious like and started telling me about this guy who tried to make the biggest catapult in the world that could shoot things into space. He said that even though it sounded silly, it was an idea that made that guy a "real thinker". LOL I love my kids!!!

your kids have great imaginations! what a wonderful teacher and supportive mom you are. i don't have children, but i know a good mom when i see one! i'm lucky, i still have mine and she's always been the best!

There have been times when I've really wondered if I am doing the right thing. But it's going so well, they are learning so much, they love doing it and so do I... how could it be a bad thing??
I often sit back and ask myself what wonderful thing did I do 'in another life' to deserve such amazing kids!
We are both lucky. My mother is still around too. She's a crotchety old hoot for sure and I adore her!!! My grandmother Janie only died about 10 years ago and she reminded me of "granny" on the Beverly Hillbillys! I want to be JUST like her when I get old ;)Some might say I'm off to a good start ;)

i too, often wonder what i did to find such an amazing man to share my life with 18 years ago, so i understand when you sometimes sit down and question things. but, i believe we are good, kind, deserving women who have always tried to do right by people and maybe that's all it takes.

I saw the movie Les Miserables with Liam Neeson the other night. You know, after he had been given his second chance, he did what the right thing was, no matter what it cost him. It's not hard to know what the right thing is, it CAN be hard to do it!
I hope you're right that just being kind and always trying to do what is right made us deserving of such a terrific family! I am hoping the ultimate judgement will not find me wanting, but find me having done the right thing. Does that make sense?
