first, i have to ask, are you a smoker? if not, then try buffing the yellow out, if your nails are in good condition. you can try soaking in lemon juice, or a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water.

Cheryl, I am not a smoker, but I have one nail that tends to say yellow as well. I have only buffed with with the buffing cream and leather buffer that I received in my kit twice. It doesn't go away and seems to be more concentrated toward the side edge of the nail, ring finger only on my right hand - it's the only one.

I can't imagine the lemon juice after the picking spree I just endured, **oucu** but I am going to try to perixode and water. Heck, that may even help these bald fingers. The cuticle near the yellow parts seems to be thicker than the rest of my cuticles. Weird!! Thanks for the remedies.

Hi Deb,
I think the buffer cheryl spoke of is some sort of 4 sided buffing "block". I am sorry I don't know the proper information with regards to this so I can not help out further. May be Cheryl will be back in here later. I hope so!
Glad to hear that you learned what was creating your problem with the fainting spell. Be careful and take care! Talk to you later on.

deb,
sorry, it just sounded like you were answering my question that i had asked to the girl with the yellow nails. i thought maybe it was another isp you had access to at work. flat words don't come across very well at times. i went back and re-read and realized you had yellowing problems also. it's ten after midnight and it's bedtime i believe!

I have to be honest - I am a little taken aback this morning by your response, Cheryl. I am not sure what you think my agenda is and at this point I am not sure I care.

"I thought maybe it was another ISP you had access to at work". Well, it's not. First of all, if you had clicked on her name to get her email address before you came to your shady little conclusion - you would see that she has a Yahoo UK email address. She doesn't even live in the United States.

I, too, was a little confused as to why when I post at home and at work that the IP address is the same. So, I called Newnan Utilities to find out, since I thought IP's were computer specific. The tech that I talked to this morning was Troy (in case you want to check out my story) and he told me that since we use Newnan Utilities cable internet here at work and that is also my provider at home, the IP will be the same. He told me that Newnan Utilities "masks" the IP address for security purposes. See, if someone has your actual IP address, they can hack into your computer.

Again, I don't know what your beef is with me. I have done nothing to you except for stand up to you and defend myself when I thought it was necessary. I also felt that it was in the past and that is why I felt comfortable asking a question about a similar problem. Wrong!!

Barbara, Moi and the rest of the girls here - it has been a pleasure to get to know you - even briefly. I just don't have time to play games and I will not be made out to have an agenda, or be made to feel shady or that I have to justify every response I make to the board.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Debra

OOPS again!
Deb, it just looks like Cheryl was confused because of the way the wording came down after the initial post. If you don't look, and usually I don't notice until there is an issue, which there is not, it sounded as though that second post was coming from the the same person, until you actually pay attention to the names and IPs. This one is really just a misunderstanding. No offense was or is intended. Please take no offense with this. Either of you. Things are really coming together now and I am enjoying our banter. Lets all start to look at the things posted with new eyes and clear heads. Cheryl really was confused with this one. She even emailed me after her other post there and said she screwed up. Genuine mistake. Honest mistake. Your response is totally understandable and appreciated. You and Moi and Cheryl and all of us are beginning to rebuild a broken bridge. Please don't give up on us now! PLEASE! Lets keep the good thing rolling. I hope you read and understand this the way I am thinking the words as I type them out. This is a sincere effort to keep us all intact and content on this board. Hopefully you will read this and let me know we will be ok here. Thank you, both of you, all of you. You guys are what make the day for me and I don't want any of us to feel as though we are frowned upon. NO ONE HERE IS, HONESTLY!!!!

Barbara,
I thought so too and I guess that is why it caught me so off guard. Off guard enough to call my internet tech support and ask about the IP thing...LOL I felt I needed to be prepared with a defense of somekind. No offense will be taken if none was meant to be taken. I know that you know cheryl and most of the girls here much better than I, so please understand how I felt when I read that post this morning.

Thank you for your intervention - divine or otherwise.
Deb

OOOHHH! YEAH, Divine! I like that word. No offense was intended from either end on this one. It truly was a simple screwup. You don't have to wear any defense armor here, and neither does Cheryl.
Yes, I have known Cheryl for several years now. Not personally, face to face, but personally word to word. Just like we are getting to know one another here personally, word to word.
I know sometimes things that sound light and entertaining to me in one instance, can sound hard and harsh in another instance. So that is why I always, (well may be not always), but I like to think I try to always find the middle ground.
I assume that you probably saw my post on Q some months back when I stated, "all things in moderation". Those words a actually the words that my father and me Mum always stressed to me and my husband picked up that mantra and fed it to me for years too! (You should have known me before it became my own mantra....OK May be not! LOL) Any who! The point being, we are all a bit jumpy now days with all that we have to deal with on personal, social, and business levels. So we, and I hope I am speaking for the rest of us, we can all try to take the things said here with a grain of salt, a pinch of moderation, and a heaping helping of concern for one another. (UUUMMM Sound like a recipe for the table huh!)
OK, I am off to begin my heaping helpings of food prep for tomorrow. I will be back and forth today, so if I don't respond immediately or sooner, I will get back asap.
Happy Thanksgiving back at ya!

deb,
i screwed up and was momentarily confused. i didn't mean to come across as accusatory. i was just confused about exactly who i was answering too,
that's all, i promise. the answer could have applied to both of you. i meant absolutely nothing by it. it was late and i just read it wrong. people out in the workplace could have 40 different isp's, i don't know about such things and that's fine. i don't have or want a beef with you, and you're part of this big "delta family" we're trying to hold onto. i really meant nothing and i'm sorry if my flat words came across that way. if we had actually been talking it would have never happened.
