Subject: Wheel chair fund!
Message: I am hoping to hear that some of the monies have arrived in California this week. I will let you all know when I start getting a handle on just where we are at on this.
I just want to THANK YOU ALL, for you care and concern, for your prayers for our friend in her time of need, and for your hard earned money. I know how much we each have to struggle daily to make ends meet and when we extend ourselves for others, I think it really does come back to us, in many ways. In unexpected pleasures! Just knowing we are able to gather to support, *emotionally*, our friends, is not just of benefit to them but to us as well.
THANK YOU! I will report asap..........

Message: I just talked to Ruth. She is crying and upset about someone posting on QVC that we are running a scam, and she has asked me to remove all mention of the possibility for us to help her out!
************************NO!*********************
I went over and read the post that has her so upset, and it is viscous and a slander on our wanting to help a friend in need. I will not remove the post and give credence to their lies. If I remove it, they will only believe they have caught some lie, thumb their 3rd grade noses, and post as how they "knew it!"
I just can not believe the venom of those who profess to be *simply sharing their opinion*!
Well here is an opinion for you! Our website is dedicated to promoting natural nails and in so doing allowing everyone an option away from fake nails.
If someone is offended by the fact that I, and many of you, care for this person we are trying to help out, then your contempt for helping others puts you in direct opposition to what is attempting to be accomplished with this fund raiser.
The people a QVC can keep their lies and cheats and fakes. I am only interested in taking care of friends that may need care.
If you are upset that we would want to extend a loving hand to someone in their darkest hours, then you need to "leave the room"!
If you are upset that we share information that is of interest to us, then don't let the door hit you on your way out.
If you care about others and want to be part of something that will help, you can do that by e-mailing me personally and I can provide the information on where to send what ever assistance you can share with Ruth.
She in Southern California, I am in South Georgia. We have never met face to face, but I know this woman is good, and caring, and would help any of us in our hour of need if she could.
So I will not allow the lies and viscous slander of the ***ONE*** to undo what we are attempting to do here to help out in what ever small measure we may be able to help out!
Are you still with me? 912.538.7028 barbara@fingernailcare.com

Message: Barbara and Ruth,
I'm really sorry that this has happened. This is one of the reasons that I don't post on ANY boards any longer except THIS one. I have had a few bad experiences. And I've seen where one person is singled out and criticized again and again. Try to let it go.. Those who are saying these things need to remember something I learned when I was a child. "I always felt bad because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet". And my other favorite is the Indian one where you shouldn't judge until you have walked a mile in someone elses's moccasins.

Message: Those folks over on the QBB can have "their opinion!" I agree Barbara, this is YOUR site, this ain't QVC! If folks want to come over here to troll, and then go back and spread gossip, that's on them. What a juvenille bunch of people over there. I am so disgusted!
Ruth, it is like I told you in the thread last week, you never know what you are going to need in this life. Barbara was kind enough to extend a helping hand, and I for one, am glad she did. I have been stuck in the office all day today, but I will be mailing it off to you tomorrow, and I personally don't care who knows it, likes it OR dislikes it. I am being me. There was something very genuine in your post to us. And besides that, I really feel like Barbara would not mislead us. I can tell that she is not that type of person. So you don't worry about what other people think. I am doing what I do for people all the time. I have done the same for complete strangers on the street, obviously, anyone who would say such hateful things about you, has never been in a tough situation. God knows that I have and I know what it is like to really be hurting, I am there now! Not only that, the main thing that you asked us for is PRAYER, you never once solicited for funds, and I believe that you never solicited Barbara either, it is something that she volunteered to do for you!!!!
May God have mercy on "them" for when their day of need comes! The Bible says, "judge not, lest ye be judged!"

Message: I can only hope they never need the kindness of strangers. They better hope so too!
I am so over that board it isn't funny! If they say anything else, they can share it with those who are of like minds there. I do not ever want to be associated with them or their kind again. This is the most satisfying thing I have done for someone I have never met, but feel a close attachment to, in a very long time.

Message: I still think we should be updated on the progress. I have back up funds available if she doesn't get enough and my bible study group meets tomorrow night.
I was always taught that if you are afraid of being hurt, you will never love with your whole heart. I think the same goes for giving - if you always skeptical of the cause and don't give, you will never know the joy that comes with giving.
I am not ashamed of the money I sent to a woman I have never met and may never meet. I don't know some of you as well as others do, however, I do enjoy sharing from time to time and I do believe it is better to give than to receive.

Message: This is why I told you on Saturday when I wrote you Barb that I am done with that board. Finished. Yes I have learned some good tips for beauty and such, there are things that I still will purchase, 'cause there were some really good threads and I found out about really good stuff over there. But now, I don't even want to see the QBB! And I can't even stomach the channel now, which actually is a great thing since I haven't shopped since June, and I paid off my last ezpay last month!--Smile!
That old saying, "one bad apple will spoil the whole bunch" is so true. All it takes is one person to really ruin things for everybody. So "cheers" to the lady that started today's lie! You've managed to stop really nice, inciteful and decent people from contributing to the discussions on the QBB! Hope you feel great about yourself!

Message: debodel, that is so true, 'cause I truly love to give, time, prayer, money, whatever! That is what life is all about. Sad that people are so cynical about life that they think that everything is about "being tricked" or a "scam".
