Subject: No Allergies to NGF
Message: Hi Barbara,
You asked Jill in the post, " An Acrylic Nail Story", if she had any allergies to the NGF and I thought I'd start a new thread. I had lots of allergies to the primers used on the acrylic nails and had to apply Cordaid on my fingers as soon as I got home. I have been using NGF since August and have had NO allergic reactions at all. Your products are wonderful and I have been mentally making a list of the things I am thankful for during this holiday season and on my list is finding your website and your products.
I am so happy to find others who have gone through what I experienced using the acrylics because when I would complain of the pain, allergies and infection I eventually got, it was like I was the only odd one. I was informed my infection was due to the fact that I waited too long for a fill and the lifting of the acrylic was the reason because I was getting moisture under it. One other time my nails got as thick at piano keys and that's because I "waited too long to have the old acrylic removed and new applied". I experienced pain during fills from the drilling, and thought I was a wimp. When I asked what that brown spot on my thumb was, I just got a shrug, it was the start of an infection. Acrylic was put right on top of that. If there are people reading our posts and what we experienced, I hope they will not be tempted to start or if they have started, I hope they will be aware of what can happen if they continue.
Getting off my soap box now. :)

Message: Grace,
you get on your soap box anytime you want. these nails are evil and techs make us feel like idiots for asking questions. and before any nail techs get riled up, i know there are some nail techs out there who are more responsible and aware of what they are doing, but these acrylics are not healthy for our nail beds and there is just no way around it. we are sick and tired of being lied to. ok, i'm off my soap box too, for now. usually doesn't last too long!!

Message: Today is the 22nd day I've been using NGF. I have to say my cuticles look great and some nail growth but not much. I know, I know I have to give it time from all the acrylic abuse.
I can join your soap box. When I did have acrylics and the nail tech couldn't get a tip off she just put one over top of the other. I thought that strange and thought oohh this could lift. Sure enough, about a week later I developed an infection from the other nail tip lifting. That's when I finally decided no more, no more. I'm tired of all this acrylic mess. So now I have my own natural nails and am patiently waiting for them to grow. Mary K.
