Message: a fiberglass mesh is applied over a plastic tip, which was glued on to a sanded down, roughed up nail bed. don't do it, you will regret it and it will take months for your own nails to recover when you tire of the maintenance and expense.

Message: I think you should cancel the fiberglass nail appointment. Any topical treatment bonded to your own natural nails will cause damage to your own nails and create problems that are not beneficial to your natural nails' health. So that means fiberglass is damaging just like acrylics are. Concentrate your time and money on making your own nails strong and healthy instead of doing something that you'll eventually regret.

Message: Heather,
You can't see me, but I am down on my knees begging you not to do it! Okay, that IS a slight exageration, but I am asking you to reconsider. ANY damage done to your natural nail to apply the artifical kind is damage none the less!
If you've ever hoped to have lovely, natural nails, give Nail Growth Formula a chance! You're talking to someone who has been a biter, picker and all around nail abuser most of my life. I am certain I even picked en utero!
I have tried most products known to man, some cheap some expensive and I have never had the success with any of them that I have gotten with NGF. I am so thrilled I am even giving a kit to my daughter for Christmas.
Whether you decide to use NGF or not, please do reconsider your nails appointment!

Message: Heather:
You don't know me either, and I had the world's worst nails and I am allergic to the acrylics because of the adhesive and top coating they put on them. I have ALWAYS had ugly nails, and I've tried everything known to man, just as Moi has done.
Please don't do the fiberglass nails, and try NGF. This is the first time in my life that I am not ashamed to show my nails. I never bit them, or picked at them, they were just naturally ugly and always broken. I am so pleased with them, I would never use anything but NGF, and you can have a shine all the time with the NGF cream and the buffer, and it won't cost as much as the refills, and BOY, when you hit one of those nails, and they "lift" from your nail bed, you want to just cry!!!!

Message: Heather, I hope you read the new post that karen1225 started about acrylic nail stories and the horrendous things that happened to us because of any fake nail. The only difference between the ones that you are scheduled to get and the ones that I had is that yours are made of fiberglass, which is a type of plastic, if I am not mistaken, and mine were mad of acrylic, which is also a plastic like substance. Neither of them were ever meant to be "bonded" to our bodies! I mean really, do we even understand that there could be medical repercussions for absorbing these chemicals into our bodies? Like the other posters have already suggested, you can try NGF, and I totally agree with the others who have strongly encouraged you and your friend not to go through with the fiberglass tips. They look awfully pretty when they are done, but they cause a lot of damage. Look at all the posts of all of us who have had the various types of artificial nails, and all the damage that we got from wearing them.
