Every time I use a nail hardner or nail polish the finish on my nails alway look as though they have a fine layer of sand under the polish. This happens with almost every brand of polish.Why is this happening?

you're puting the coats of polish on too thick. it's tiny bubbles of air you are feeling. two thin coats are what you need. nail polish and hardeners are dehydrating use a good oil once the polish has dried. polish and hardeners don't actually make your nails harder and stronger. the strength is just the laquer itself, not your nails. just something to consider.
